This hotel is a hidden gem! The room was so spacious, it was bigger than a lot of homes we have rented and was just perfect for what we needed! There is not an ocean view but it is just minutes from cannery row and the ocean. We needed a space big enough for a surprise trip for our mom where everyone had a bed and this place checked off all the boxes. We highly recommend this hotel, especially if you want more out of a hotel room than just 2 queen beds for multiple people.

Quaint and clean

This was a terrific lodge. The staff was very friendly and great service. It has been newly renovated from top to bottom. The bed was comfortable and all of the furnishings were very nice. Bathroom and the shower were great. I would definitely stay here again. A couple of suggestions would be to add some hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels, robes and/or clothing. An extra blanket would also have been nice to have in the room.

The staff at check-in were nice and they let us know our room would be ready in “5 minutes” (even though it was already after check-in time, 3:15). We waited outside of the room as the cleaning staff came in and out and finally it seemed like no one was coming back but they had left the door open… so i asked one of the staff if our room was done and she said yes (but seemed uncertain). There was still a bleach-like smell so we opened all windows and back door as well. Even after it was well ventilated for a couple hours, it seemed like we could still faintly smell the odor the rest of the night. Overall, the room was fine - it appeared that the inside of the room had been remodeled. There was a full fridge but there was a sign with very strict instructions on how the fridge needed to be turned back on, cleaned, etc in order to avoid a $40 charge. AC worked well, beds were okay, ended up not using any appliances so we could avoid extra charges.

Took my boyfriend deep sea fishing for his birthday. Hotel was about a 10 minute drive, room was clean and room was spacious (got the King bed). Overall really really good I’d go back and book here again!! 10/10

How did this place get good reviews???

Plus: Close to Laguna Seca, outlets by the beds and desks have USB A and C ports. Negatives: The beds are apparently made of granite. I did not think a mattress could be so hard. The springs underneath creak with every movement. Simply setting down a shaving kit on the bed made a noise. I have no idea what the point of two huge walk-in closets is when there's nothing in them. Our room was in the back and we could not connect to the WiFi and cell service is terrible. The sink looks nice but is completely useless as a regular bathroom sink making it difficult to shave. I understand charging more when there's an event nearby - the IndyCar race at Laguna Seca. But they increased the rate about three times versus a trip in the middle of August. Will I go back next year? Not a chance.

Quiet area and great parking! Staff was extremely nice which was a pleasant surprise after experiencing obnoxious receptionist in our last hotel in SLO. Will definitely book here again. Bed and pillows were a bit hard but nothing that will stop us from returning.

Our whole stay was just seamless here from check-in to check-out. The property didn't look like much from the outside, but once you check in, it's just perfect. The setup was just right with the separate master bedroom and the extra 2 queen beds, each room having it's own little fridge. You even get a cute little patio right outside and back area for your dog. Definitely would stay here again, it was better than we expected and staff was just pleasant.
