They assigned me with a room very far from the parking lot K . Not safe walking on the road trying to reach out the room. They switched 3 times my assignments room. It's was a horrible experience because my husband has a problem with knees. So it's took an hour to settle down and get a decent room.

As a historical place, the rooms are rustic, but that pales in comparison to how great the location, grounds, access to the beach is. The CA State Park system is running this place very well.

Second Time Around

For personal mini-vaca. We stayed in a 2 full or queen and fireplace room. The staffs at the front desk were cold and not inviting. The staff running the cafe were most inviting and kind. I traveled hours to stay at Asilomar. I was hoping for some kindness from all staff. As soon as I made a request for service, on the phone, it was attended immediately. Both attendees were nice. The refrigerator was old and needs to retire. To me customer service is the number 1 priority. This was my second stay and the first was the reason I came back. For future reservations, that’s up in the air.

We enjoyed our stay! Quite mear beaches. The bathroom could be cleaner. Mold was in surroundings tub area and could be removed with bleach.

Love the ocean, so did not spend a lot of time in room. Room was clean and warm. Never been there before but now know what to expect. Was not happy with check out experience. Got charged twice upon checking account on my card.

The rooms are outdated and there is no TV but other than that it was an amazing stay. Great atmosphere and customer service. Beautiful scenery and great food.
