Overall, this was a clean, safe, comfortable hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no shuttle to Mall of America because it is within walking distance. I was disappointed in 2 aspects though. The first is that we were a party of 11 people and we booked 2 - 2 bedroom suites on the same reservation. We were put on completely opposite ends of the building on separate floors. I would expect reservation systems to be smart enough these days to know that we want to be close to each other. Instead, they wait for you to check in before they read the notes. By that time, they have already placed other guests in such a way that we end up separated. That problem has been around for a long time. Reservation systems need to do better with that. Second, each suite had only one bathroom and it was configured very uncomfortably. I expected to have 2 bathrooms in each suite. The whole bathroom issue made us not want to use this location for our family outings again, even though it's so close to MOA.

The room was never cleaned (4 nights). I notified the staff and I believe the supervisor as well. They took note of this and promised it would be taken care of. Each day I had to go downstairs to request clean towels and have our room cleaned. I had to collect our own trash because it was never dumped. The toilet paper was just barely enough. All we got was an apology and no compensation. The location was great. We just won't look forward to staying at this location in the future. 😒
