We had a lovely off season stay at Mar Azul! The house is spacious enough for 6 adults to enjoy each others company and have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked and the location of the house is incredible! Our proximity to the Cliff Walk, First and Second Beach and downtown Newport was great. Everything is easily accessible by car or Uber which makes it super easy! Rick was a great host, providing recommendations and quickly on call when we needed things throughout the stay. I would highly recommend people to stay here and we hope to come back in the summer sometime!

This property had everything we could possibly need. We recently stayed with the family for our son’s destination wedding The space is perfect for entertaining the family. The groomsmen also came to get ready with the Groom on the wedding day. It was beyond perfect! The host is extremely responsive and we Will definitely be returning with the family in the future!

The house is absolutely fantastic and the location unbeatable! Super clean and updated. You can easily have two families of 4 with their separate spaces and enough room on the second floor for everyone to hang out. Our host, Rick, was extremely proactive, super nice and helpful. Great place

Our family of 5 (we were supposed to be 8, but a sick child kept 3 of our party away) spent a wonderful 5 days here. The property is immaculate, is more beautiful than the photos can convey, has lovely views from the decks at each level out over the Easton Bay to the Newport cliff walk, is really convenient to most places of interest in Middletown and Newport, and is well-equipped and well-stocked with everything you need, including many things you normally need to run to the grocery store for at the beginning of a rental (e.g., spices, paper goods, food storage bags). We especially loved the large open kitchen-dining room-living room on the second floor. The owner is super attentive and responsive. We definitely want to come back here on a future visit.

Perfect for our family gathering

The house is lovely, with a great view of the water and very close to 1st Beach. The open plan kitchen, living and dining room on the 2nd floor was great as a family gathering spot for meals, to play games and watch TV.The two bedrooms on the third floor are both sizable with contemporary bathrooms each with a tiled walk-in shower.There are also two bedrooms on the entry floor with a galley kitchen.The house was perfect for our family gathering over the holidays.

Beautiful Home!

We loved our stay here! The house was so beautiful and had everything we needed to feel at home, especially with two little ones. Being so close to the beach made it easy for quick trips if we needed something back at the house. The ocean views from both balconies was the cherry on top. Rick and Lizete were helpful with our stay and quick to respond to any questions we had. We hope to book another stay here soon!

Family vacation week

We stayed five nights during Fourth of July weekend. Great space and clean, perfect for multiple families as there were three floors, allowing for separation. Location is fantastic. If you are staying longer than three nights, be aware the trash cans are small and will need to dispose overflow elsewhere. Property manager was a little rude but communicative enough. We’d stay here again!

Perfect place in a perfect location

Loved our stay at Mar Azul. We had 9 people, 6 adults and 3 small children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location is wonderful. It is only a short 10 minute walk to Easton (or First) Beach and only a 10 minute drive to downtown Newport (where all the action is). It is only a 5 minute drive to Sachuest (or Second) Beach which we liked better than First Beach. It is also only a 10 minute walk to lots of great bars and restaurants in Middletown. You should definitely check out Flo's, Atlantic Grill and Rejects Beer Co. The house had everything we needed for our group of 9. There is a second kitchen on the first floor which had a second refrigerator which came in handy with our large group. All the beds had memory foam mattresses which everyone was happy with. The view from both decks was great. Looks directly across the bay at the Cliffs with its many mansions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it if you are thinking of staying in the Newport area.

Great house

Not only was this a great house, but even the neighbors were nice. When I got ready for my wedding here, the neighbors let all extra cars park in their drive way. The house was clean, spacious well decorated. My only con was, could use better curtains. Weird to say, I know but, better draperies and poles would look amazing in that house! Especially the living room. If you’re looking to stay somewhere near Newport, stay here!

What you see is what you get! Absolutely gorgeous! We were trying to plan something pretty amazing for my mother-in-law‘s 70th birthday but wanted to be safe! We decided to rent a house in Newport. When I found this house online we all agreed this was a perfect fit for our family. I have a 10-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter then there were two couples and my in-laws. Every room was fit perfectly for each one of us the cabinets were perfectly stocked the beds were clean the backyard was great with a wonderful grill the two kitchens was perfect for us and it was very very clean! The host Lizette always responded to my text messages and was very accommodating!! I’m looking forward to renting this house again in the future!

Spring break in Middletown

We had an amazing stay at Mar Azul! To start our April vacation, myself and 3 girlfriends stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed wine and cheese on the top deck and late night chats in front of the electric fireplace in the living room (loved the basket of cozy throw blankets available for chilly evenings on the deck!) On the third day, my husband and two teenage daughters met me and we stayed an additional 3 nights. The bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas were beautifully decorated and comfortable. Lizete and Rick left a thoughtful welcome package in the kitchen including some wine and snacks to enjoy during our stay. We ate in for breakfast and dinner and appreciated that the kitchen was well-equipped with new appliances, dishes and serving pieces. I am accustomed to house rentals in OBX where you need to bring EVERYTHING, so was pleasantly surprised that bed linens, towels and paper products were available at the house. It certainly made packing much easier! The house is conveniently located a short stroll from Easton's (First) beach and the cliff walk. It was also a short drive into Newport for shopping and dining. We took Lizete and Rick's suggestion (in the house guide) and hit up Atlantic Grille for a yummy breakfast within walking distance from the house. The house is stunning and well represented in the listing. Check in was very easy and Lizete was very responsive to email and text messages leading up to and during our stay. We look forward to a return visit!

Lovely modern home in a great location!

The home was so lovely! The rooms were well appointed, modern, and clean. The house had plenty of kitchenware to use throughout your stay. The views of the beach were so relaxing. The best part is the location — you feel like you’re at the beach but then it’s a short 5 minute ride into downtown Newport. Would definitely stay again!
