Loved our stay!

This was the perfect property for our large group of extended family. We cooked in every night with all the kitchen supplies we needed. Enjoyed eating out on the patio or around the fire pit. Plenty of seating and plenty of beds - mattresses were very comfortable. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach and we had some beautiful beach days. We brought our own beach chairs and beach towels but didn’t use them as there were plenty provided. The only minor issue we encountered was the refrigerator/freezer not staying cold but the host was very responsive in advising us on what to do and offered to send a repair person out if the issue wasn’t resolved. We loved this property and are already talking about booking again for next summer!

Fantastic Stay

This was a perfect spot for our friends and family. The access to the beach was wonderful; it felt private and quiet. The hosts were kind and responsive, the house well stocked with everything we needed, and the location great for trying breweries, wineries, great restaurants, and shopping. I definitely would book it again!

Friend Trip

Property was great and accommodated our large group, we'd definitely come back. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was with cooking supplies and plenty of plates/dishes/bowls/cups for kids and adults. The kids loved the toy shelf and the sunroom with a TV was perfect for a movie night. The house had two large coolers available for the beach and enough beach towels for our group which was super helpful.

Amazing location for a gathering with kids!

We had an incredible stay with two other young families at this home. We were nervous about how well everything would go with six adults and five young kids aged 0-4, but there was more than enough space to accommodate everybody. The hosts were kind enough to leave sound machines in every room and there were tons of baby and kid-friendly supplies. The location is hard to beat and we enjoyed being just steps from the beach. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a large gathering on the lake!

Family beach vacation

We enjoyed everything about this house. It was well stocked with the essentials and was very clean. Easily fit grandparents and two families of 4. Loved the location on the dune and the incredible short walk to the beach access. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Beach House Location

The real charm of this house is the feeling of seclusion, although it is in a pretty densely populated area, and the direct access to the beach. The back deck area is perfect! The kitchen is very accommodating and stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses and cooking ware. Plenty of beach towels are provided too. A great place!

Lovely place to stay

We were here for a funeral and this home was a wonderful place to gather with family as the deck and family room are perfect. With 7 bedrooms, although smallish, everyone had their own space to which to retreat. It is a very well stocked hpuse and Brittany was soo sweet and communication was excellent. She even left us flowers and a condolence card. We hope to return to this beach house again and spend more time on the great beach that's such an easy walk from the house. Thank you for sharing !

On the Dune

The location directly on the dune is great. The outdoor patio has lots of seating, and a separate fire pit area, which makes for great evenings as the sun sets. Plenty of beach towels and chairs. Our second time at the house!

Great location and wonderful house

The house had plenty of space, was in a prime location to the beach and had a great outdoor space. Loved the views, especially at sunset. House has everything we needed for a long weekend stay and the owners very responsive to questions. Would stay again.

Girls trip 2023!

Wonderful home! Pictures don’t do it justice, it’s even cuter in person. The location was perfect…( but do yourself a favor and use the public path a couple doors down, that dune can be tough when carrying a lot.) Owners were very helpful with questions before our stay. This place had everything we needed to make our 12th annual girls (teachers and administrators) trip a big success! Would love to visit again :)

Fantastic Vacation in Michigan City!

The house and property were great! The check-in process was smooth. We loved the huge deck, fire pit, grill, private dune entrance, neighbors, plethora of beds and baths, big kitchen, dining area, washer/dryer, fireworks and convenient/plentiful parking. My suggestions would be: fix the water in main shower (no hot water), toilet seat broke, bathroom floors were dirty, outdoor shower didn't work, game table was falling apart, upstairs shower did not drain (filled with sand). These are small suggestions; we had a great week. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful house with us! I would definitely recommend this rental!

Relaxing weekend

This house was great for our large group of adults and kids (ages 1-4). The property had everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen to beach toys/chairs to a fire pit. We enjoyed going to the beach close-by but still separated by a dune for backyard privacy. Felt like the property accommodated us even more than expected from the listing!

Lovely lake stay

The beach house is beautiful, spacious, and perfectly located right on the beach. We enjoyed the large deck and fire pit. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. The ample supply of towels, beach chairs, and sand toys came in handy with the kids. The den and foosball table were much loved by the kids and allowed the adults some time away from them. Thank you for a great getaway.

Family Reunion Fun

We had a wonderful time at How You Dune! The view from the top of the dune was a bonus when watching the speed boat races and the sunsets. Some of our best photos ever! Communication with the owner was excellent. They were very responsive to our questions /concerns.
