The hotel is older but delightful. In the Art Deco district and constructed in 1941. Definite modern upgrades however. Beds are very comfortable. The restaurant is second to none. Dinner was to delicious, we had breakfast there the next moring. Staff is super efficient and courteous. Only complaint is horriffic valet $45 parking for 1night.

The staff were wonderful. I came in on a red eye flight and the staff was happy to hold my luggage until check-in time. I was able to go eat and hang out at the beach. They called me when my room was ready an hour early. The room was really nice and comfortable. What a cute place. I love the decor. I only stayed one night and in the morning I was going to go find breakfast and the staff stopped me and told me about the breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. They offer a nice discount for people staying at The Avalon. Everything was great. I would love to come again. Hope to see Avalon again soon.
