NOISY AND COLD.
Upon checking in with my 11-year-old twins, we were assigned a room facing Avenida Insurgentes Sur. Due to its location on one of Mexico City's busiest streets and the proximity of four hospitals, we experienced constant noise from ambulance sirens, which severely disrupted our sleep. Additionally, the room was extremely cold at night because there was no central air conditioning.
The following day, I requested a room change at the front desk. I was informed that room assignments are based on the "tariff paid" and that a change might not be possible. I found this response to be unhelpful and disrespectful; a more professional approach would have been to offer alternatives, even if they involved an additional cost.
Later that day, a different receptionist was able to move us to an apartment located within the building, which was significantly quieter. He also provided two blankets and a heater, which greatly improved the room's comfort. We were grateful for this change. However, we then discovered that the new apartment only had a king-size bed for three people. Exhausted from the previous issues, I decided not to pursue another room change, and we managed to sleep together for the remaining two nights. I will never consider this hotel again.
