The Space:

Perched at the southern tip of Merritt Island where the Indian and Banana Rivers meet, The River House at Dragon Point puts you right on the water - waking up to sunrises over the river, spotting dolphins and manatees from your deck, and stepping straight onto your private dock whenever the mood strikes. This is a home built around the outdoors, with every interior detail designed to keep the water in view.



Living space

Soaring vaulted wood beam ceilings draw your eyes upward the moment you walk in, while a full wall of windows frames the Banana River like a living painting. The open-concept layout connects the living and dining areas naturally, filling the space with Florida light and keeping the riverfront atmosphere central to every part of the home. A dedicated workspace and second workspace option mean those who need to stay connected can do so without giving up the view.



Kitchen & dining

The fully equipped kitchen is anchored by a spacious center island and stainless steel appliances, with everything you need for full meal prep - refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, wine glasses, cooking basics, and a dining table for gathering the group. Whether you're cooking a quick breakfast before a morning on the kayaks or sitting down to a proper dinner, the kitchen is set up for it.



Sleeping arrangements

Two king bedrooms and one queen bedroom sleep up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and 3 beds, each styled in soft coastal tones with natural light, bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, and clothing storage. The primary bathroom features a glass walk-in shower and double vanity, and the second full bathroom continues the same standard of comfort throughout.



Outdoor & dock

The rear deck is where the property really comes alive. Surrounded by palms and mangroves, it's furnished for outdoor dining and relaxed evenings, with a BBQ grill ready for use. Three kayaks - two single and one tandem - are included for guests, launching directly from your private dock onto the calm river waterways. A fire pit rounds out the setup for cooler evenings under an open sky.



Practical details

The home is single-level with no stairs, making it accessible and easy to move through. You'll find a washer and dryer on-site, high-speed WiFi, air conditioning and heating, a smart lock for self check-in, and free parking on the premises. Smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit are all in place. Long-term stays are available for guests who want to settle in for a while.



Location

Dragon Point's position gives you quick access across the Space Coast. Cocoa Beach and the pier are roughly 10 minutes out, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex around 20 minutes, Port Canaveral about 15 minutes, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge approximately 25 minutes, and Brevard Zoo around 30 minutes. Local seafood spots, waterfront dining, and the laid-back atmosphere of the Space Coast are all within easy reach.

Getting Around:

Getting Around The River House: While a car is recommended to explore the Space Coast fully, here's some info to help you navigate:



Parking: Complimentary parking is available for up to two vehicles directly on the property. Please note there is no garage access.



Airports: Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB) is approximately 30 minutes away. Orlando International Airport (MCO) is about a 1-hour drive. Consider ride-sharing services or car rentals from either airport.



Local Transportation: Ride-sharing services (Uber/Lyft) are readily available. Public transit options are limited in this area.



Major Hubs: Port Canaveral is about a 15-minute drive. Cocoa Beach is also about 10 minutes away by car.

To ensure a comfortable start to your stay, we provide an initial stock of the following essentials:
