The room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived & had to wait half an hour for it to be cleaned. The staff seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing. One way in & out, onto a four laned main road, was horrendous. The smell was overpowering. The spa had no plug so we couldn’t use it. The toilet roll holder was broken & the roll just sat on the edge of the spa bath. The vanity was covered in contact covering. The door was missing the security chain & the door handle & lock felt as if it was about to fall off. There was a sign under the mirror saying the hairdryer was in the wardrobe but there was no hairdryer. I asked for one at the reception & they couldn’t find one. I asked them to put one in the room during the day, but that wasn’t done. I asked again in the afternoon and it took ages to find one. The microwave has a sign on the door to cover your food when heating & to clean it after you finished. There was nothing to cover it with or to clean it afterwards. There was an ironing board in the wardrobe but it didn’t have any cover on it. There was only 2 cups &1 teaspoon in the room. No plates, glasses, crockery or cutlery. There was a big sign out the front, saying Restaurant open 7 days. I asked if they had a restaurant & the receptionist said no they didn’t. The room had a lot of old water damage in it. The particleboard wardrobe, at the bottom where the old water damage was, was falling to bits as the timber was just all falling off it. No spare blankets or pillows.
