Mooi historisch gebouw, bakhuisje ligt in een mooie omgeving, makkelijk aan het Pieterpad. Ontvangst om te huilen: ik heb nog nooit zóveel betaald voor een overnachting langs het Pieterpad en ben nog nooit zó ongastvrij ontvangen. We 'stoorden" mijnheer des huizes (op kousenvoeten) nogal toen we ons om 18.00 uur meldden. Hij wist van niks en liet ons weten lekker op de bank te liggen naar autoracces te kijken....heel vervelend dat er dan gasten aankomen….. Ontbijt bijgeboekt voor maar liefst € 14 p.p. Maar we konden niet om half 9 of 9 uur ontbijten i.v.m. een groep. Graag om 8 uur of 9.30 uur. Toen we ons om 9.30 uur meldden was de groep er nog steeds, was er geen plaats voor ons in de ontbijtruimte (buiten neer gezet) en was het ontbijt "buffet" geplunderd. Om alles moesten we vragen: croissantjes, een extra broodje, een extra kopje koffie? en dat voor € 14 p.p. Zelfs de vraag of we voor vertrek even van het toilet gebruik konden maken was een lastige vraag: mijnheer des huizes liet weten dat hij dan een deur ergens open moest maken (van een appartement of zo) en dat hij eigenlijk weg moest, geen tijd voor ons. En Limburgers zijn zo'n gastvrij volkje wordt altijd gezegd? Niet in deze accommodatie in Meerlo. En dat voor € 119 voor 1 overnachting + € 3,60 voor 2 flesjes water. We hadden spijt dat we niet doorgelopen waren naar Swolgen!!!!
