Very relaxing stay just down from JMU. Great home base to recharge! Beds are comfy; house is clean. Plenty of towels. Main living area is soooo nice with the floor to ceiling windows.

We loved the place. It is beautiful and peaceful there. We had to contact the host for a few things and she was wonderful with getting back to us quickly! She was very personable and made us feel better when we had to let her know about some damage from our fur babies.

Great house in the woods near attractions!

We enjoyed this house -- so clean and well organized -- easy to find things like extra pillows. My kids (7 and 3) enjoyed the classic games available (checkers, mancala, jenga) and we rode bikes on the cul de sac, played basketball, and enjoyed the propane fireplace in the cool evenings. Loved the loft and the swings. Check in is easy, and Leah was a great host -- all very simple. Highly recommend! If you have small kids, know that the ladder up to the loft is steep, so for us we made sure an adult was present to keep them safe.

The Nutt House

We had a fabulous stay. It was nestled back in the woods and quiet. We cooked a few meals there and had everything we needed. The recommendations that the hostess had were insightful and delicious. Definitely would recommend!

Perfect Getaway!!

Property location was absolutely beautiful and peaceful! Deer cross back and forth in woods all day everyday. Comfy beds and great layout. Plenty of things to do inside and outside of resort. Perfect for families or a group of friends. Only recommendations would be that the cleaning could have been a bit better. The overall cleansiness was ok, but could definitely use a deep clean. Washer and dryer are older and pretty small, but got the job done. Overall we all absolutely loved this trip and this location and would stay at this property again! 4 adults, two teens, and two 8 year olds. Leah, the host, was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! big

Lovely Visit!

Check in and check out was super easy. The location of the house is ideal as the backyard backs into the woods. The house is well stocked and well maintained. After a day at the vinyards or hiking it was a wonderful place to relax.

JMU Graduation

Location and proximity to campus events was wonderful. Check-in and check-out process was easy, and host was very responsive to messages. Easily hosted a few meals at the house during the weekend as the space was much better than trying to juggle and time restaurant reservations.

We had a blast at the nut house

We really enjoyed The Nut House. Since we spent most of our time at the Massanutten Resort, we couldnt have found a better spot. The house was extremely clean, had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the fireplace/heater. My daughter thought she had her own apartment up in the loft. We saw deer!! The beds were very firm, which we didnt love, but this is just preference. We would definitely come back! Thank you, Leah, for sharing your little gem with us! Have a great holiday!

Restful!

Clean, cute, comfortable! And Leah is the best host. We only needed a place to sleep around JMU activities, but I really wish we’d had more time to enjoy the beautiful deck and woods behind the house. Easy to get to, convenient to Harrisonburg - an all around win!

Great weekend stay.

Had a great stay this weekend. The house is great. Kitchen well stocked to make dinners. Beds are very comfy. Living area with huge windows was so nice. Location is great too: feels very secluded yet only 20 mins. from H’burg. Owner communicates very well. Would definitely recommend.

Just a few little things that needed to be dealt with. Everything was close, very quiet. The children loved it and enjoyed themselves. That was the most important thing that they enjoyed themselves. Overall all was well.

Girlfriend Retreat

From the first interaction to the last--Leah's communication was exceptional. She responded to all questions really fast! The process to book was easy, and clear directions were provided on check-in/check-out and operation of vital things in the house and surrounding property (including access to pool)! The house was equip with EVERYTHING from bug spray, games to spices. The house looked exactly how it was advertised, and was very cozy! Will definitely be back!

Cozy and Welcoming-We had a wonderful time!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Nut house! Leah made our stay feel welcoming and comfortable along with a simple check in and check out process. A quiet cul-de-sac with a wooded backyard is just what we were looking for. We will definitely be staying at one of her many properties in the future. Thank you Leah!
