Where do I begin. Conche was the perfect stay for such a magical town! I had the hotel working for us before we even arrived. They arranged a TukTuk tour for us, and a driver to pick us up at the bus station when we arrived. Although it was too early to check in Tiziana did everything to make us comfortable. She booked dinner reservations for both nights we were there at phenomenal restaurants that were close and great seats. No request was too great, and although I may have been overly expecting, she came through everyone with a win! The room is beyond imagination! What can you do with a cave. They made it comfortable with all accommodations and romantic! This stay was beyond our expectations! Highly highly recommend!

Beautiful boutique hotel

A truly unique and beautiful place to stay. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Carla gave us some great recommendations for both restaurants and bars … Madame Guilia was the standout for us. The breakfast is outstanding … so much choice and all beautifully presented. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

We had a spectacular stay here. The property is gorgeous and very well located. Our room was positively dreamy. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that not only was the room perfect, but that we had all the information we needed to see Matera. Carla was an absolute gem. Breakfast on the patio each morning was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Two of the most incredible nights of our lives

This hotel and the service by Carla and her staff was simply perfect. The room was sublime, and the location could not have been more ideal. They served a delicious breakfast and made sure we were satisfied at every turn. Carla’s knowledge of the area and passion for Matera added so much to our stay. We will be back one day, hopefully next year, and I would not dream of staying anywhere else.

This is a truly unique, beautiful place, built into a cave, right in the Sassi of Matera. The owners/operators of the hotel are kind, helpful, and wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent.
