Definitely not a suitable business hotel

Staff was very nice allowed us having dinner after close time at 8PM. However, we travelled for business and this is not a right choice for it. I booked 5 weeks in advanced and got a disabled room with explanation this is the only available room. After several discussion with receptionist they change the room for me, but at first glance they don't have any other room. The 2nd room I got was much bigger, but heating system was generating noise so had to turn it off. room was very cold then. Wi-Fi is available only is certain places, I didn't have Wi-Fi coverage in the room nor in the restaurant.

Give us your money and leave quickly

We arrived at the hotel at 11.45pm after driving on an extremely long road, winding its way around mountain sides. There were no signs except for one on the unlit winding road. We were told that we had to leave by 10.00 am as the rooms had to be cleaned for the new occupants. Having travelled all over the world, we had never encountered such a need to leave by 10am -- apparently it was hotel policy! We could raise the issue with the duty manager next morning. We did!. We were told by her that we had to leave as they had to clean the rooms. I suggested that they could clean the rooms numerically before and after ours, viewed in numerical order. No, they had to clean in that order said the duty manager. I told her it was not rocket science to skip a room and come back later... but it was lost on her. We did leave just after 10.00 am ORBITZ, you failed to vet or determine the quality of this hotel. We were disappointed and you are just as much responsible for offering this unfriendly and bad hotel. Hospitality = 0 marks out of 100.

Great Setting, really peaceful. Very well maintained. Exceptional staff. A great find. In fact I don't know why I'm reviewing this place as I don't want others to discover it!! It really doesn't get better than this

i was missold this hotel

The hotel is OK if you want skying. But I made a booking for a hotel which Iwas informed is approx. 3 to 4 miles from Maribor city centre. The Hotel was in fact approx. 17 miles and it cost me between €40 to €50 in 4 seperate cab taxi fare's that I had to take from and to Maribor city centre. So my party and I am very disappointed that we were miss-lead with the booking info. were informed regarding distance and also which is logged on the hotel website.

You'll find it eventually!

Pretty decent hotel, that I'm sure is much better presented in winter. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and spoke English very well. The room, while quite comfortable, was heavily soiled (carpet and bedspread), which I didn't expect from a newer 4-star hotel. Breakfast was great, lots of variety, hot and cold. If you use GPS, be aware to get to the hotel, you'll be on 7 miles of bumpy, gravel roads. There's a paved road that goes to the hotel, but very helpful desk clerk says it's about twice as far from the main highway. In my opinion, the extra length is worth it.

On top of a mountain

The hotel has large comfortable rooms and amazing views as it is on top of a mountain. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was great. Only bad thing is that its a 12-15 minute drive from Maribor.

booked as a stop over on way from prague to croatia, would have liked to stay longer as it is an amazing spot, massive clean rooms, amazing location saunas etc... road on the way up only takes about 10 minutes and is a very nice drive, very good value, right at the top of the cable car station, will be returning

Amazing views, walks, sauna. Worth every penny.

This hotel is the best option if you're looking for a retreat holiday. It offers an amazing spa service and a wide range of massages and treatments. The location is also unique, with a good range of mountain walks and strolls that would certainly burn the calories from breakfast. Breakfast was very good and they even offer snacks for early walkers. The room was enormous, bed very comfortable, reasonable prices of minibar and massive windows. Staff was very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. I will certainly repeat the experience!!

Great hotel in perfect surroundings: skiing in the winter, mountain biking in the summer. Very nice staff. The only con was that during our stay in May, the room was quite hot. I guess that's not a problem in the winter.

Best Maribor hotel for downhill cycling

This hotel is perfectly located at the top cable car station if you are going to partake in the downhill cycling courses. We were there out of the main ski season so the hotel was quiet as you would expect. The reception staff were excellent and sorted out all the bike hire equipment very efficiently.
