We toured the Big Bend area and stayed almost a week with another couple. We had snow and ice which did not bother us at all as it was beautiful. The hotel, however, was simply not prepared even there were many weather forecasts regarding the weather conditions. The restaurant and bar were closed and the shops in the hotel were closed. Add to this the elevator was not working and she sent us to the second floor without a second thought. When we balked, only then did she offer assistance from an employee. My husband did most of the heavy lifting (with a shoulder replacement and 70+ years old). She seemed completely overwhelmed by the weather...did not offer any restaurant / bar suggestions and basically, we were checked in and on our own. For an upscale hotel which we were obviously prepared to pay for, this was to me poor planning. Only after thinking about what we were paying for, did we ask for an upgrade which she should have automatically offered as the hotel was far from full due to weather conditions. Additionally, the original room reserved for us was small and had no real shower, just a curtain in a corner of the bathroom. I would go back to experience the full deal, but I was disappointed that hotel management did not do better. Even hot chocolate in the lobby or something more creative would have helped since they offered no restaurant suggestions, etc.

For what we paid for this room I expected a quality hotel. The elevator was out of order. The bar/restarant was closed due to plumbing problems. The bathroom in our room was smaller than a bathroom in a 20 ft trailer. On a positive note, it was clean and was a good location

From the moment we stepped to the front desk Chrissy greeted us with a warm smile and assisted us in checking in early. The Hotel has such a warm and welcoming feeling. Dined at Jett’s Grill and the Roast Tacos and Giant Burger were exceptional. The Food however as good as it was did not rival the service we received. From the Bartender to the wait staff everybody was definitely on point. Would not hesitate recommending Hotel Paisano to all my Family and Friends.

We were staying here to weigh it as an option for our upcoming wedding, and it left much to be desired. The room was dated and almost primitive. The shower shared the floor of the entire bathroom, like you’d find in a train car. Paint chipped off the bed. Low end accents. Motel quality hair dryer in the wall from another era. And the bar and restaurant was closed - the night of our stay and the night before. (The entire weekend.) we adore the architecture and the lobby, but this did not feel like a viable option for our wedding stay.
