When we arrived, the temperature in the cottage was 93. It took over six hours to get it to a temperature we could sleep in. The kitchen was supplied in adequately. We were told that we had access to Devils Lake, but no instructions as to where the deck was

The property was very clean inside. Cozy living room. TV in the master bedroom was nice so the kiddo could hang in the livijg room and watch what he wanted. Right on the lake which is beautiful. Great communication with the host.

Didn’t seem quite ready for guests

There wasn’t adequate ventilation is the bathroom - an unreachable ceiling vent only. There was no place to put any clothes - no dressers, no hangers or any place to hang anything up, no closets, no room in the bedrooms for suitcases. And no iron. Mice droppings in one kitchen drawer. Front door didn’t shut tight (bugs crawl in). No outlets in the bathroom worked. Refrigerator ice maker did not work. There were no sauce pans so I couldn’t even make a plate of spaghetti, no wine glasses, no dish drying rack. The screens were ripped or had holes in them. The front right burner to the stove would not light. The location was pretty great and the mattress was very comfortable. Having access to both lakes was a big bonus. Price was right. All things considered I might stay there again now that I know what I’m in for.
