Front desk reception staff is extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room they gave me was on the first floor toward the back of the hotel. This was good for me since it was very quiet. I’ve stayed in rooms with a balcony over a busy street and that is very noisy at night. The parking the hotel offers offsite is very nice and the reception staff do a great job explaining how to get there. It may be a bit confusing, so I recommend walking to garage to see where it is before attempting to drive there. This trip to Spain I chose to rent a car and it is proving to be quite expensive and inconvenient. I don’t recommend doing so to anyone.

Welcome drink

The hotel is in a great location and the staff were very welcoming. Finding the car park was extremely tricky and we could definitely have used a map on the instructions to help. The complimentary drink was a nice bonus and the water machine in reception was a way of reducing plastic. Personally I would have appreciated a kettle and a fridge in the room. The room was comfortable but not spotless.

I reserved this hotel at the last minute, not expecting much, but I was greatly surprised that this hotel has a fabulous location, restaurants, shopping places and tourist attractions are walkable. The most AMAZING surprise was that the processions during the Holy Week. We had the blessing to watch them from our balcony ❣️❣️❣️… Big thanks to Almudena for making us feel so welcome and for her kindness ❤️

They say breakfast is “cooked to order,” but it’s a typical European Continental breakfast. You tell the staff what you want, and they bring it to your table.

We were in Malaga for one night after a long travel day. The room was small by US standards and quite comfortable. The location is in the pedestrian area. A car is not necessary and parking options are slim. My wife and I appreciated the art in the hotel!

Lovely Hotel in the Heart of Malaga.

My partner and I visited Malaga for a few days, both our birthdays are around the same time and we thought a little trip away would be a perfect way to celebrate. Hotel Del Pintor is in a superb location, right in heart of Malaga and easily accessed from the bus routes from the airport. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who explained our room wasn't quite ready yet, however explained our luggage could be left at the hotel while we go and explore Malaga. On our return to the hotel our luggage had been moved into our room already. The room was clean and welcoming with a very comfortable bed. The Hotel also has a little cafe attached where you can enjoy a coffee and breakfast. Hotel guest also receive a voucher where they can claim a free coffee from the cafe. The only very small criticism of the hotel would be the curtains in the room, they were very thin and the lights from the courtyard shone into the room through the curtains meaning the room never really got dark. However we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel, we are planning to visit Malaga again around May time and hope to book again with Hotel Del Pintor.

Nice room, great location, bidet is a nice touch. Friendly staff. Bed a bit too firm. They also need to update the card in the room indicating free coffee anytime (not true; just a card for one free coffee and not available 24/7).

We did not stayed there. Upon arrival they informed us that our room had flooded. But they had pre arranged for us to stay in a super close hotel across the street. They were very nice and we did not have issues at the other hotel.

Friendly staff. Quirky decor - nice artwork. Clean and spacious room. Was a bit noisy even with window shut - fine in January but in hotter months you would want the window open. Unfortunately the lift was broken but they tried to compensate by taking luggage to rooms etc for guests. Nice personal touches eg message on mirror welcoming us and biscuits in room. Fresh water available and can refill. Bed comfy and plenty of pillow choices. Location good in old town - walkable and close to a lot of attractions in old town. 20 min walk to port area.

Hotel del Pintor was located in the heart of the historic center of Malaga. It was easy to navigate to all of my destinations from this spot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!

Almost very good.

Everything was good apart from my room which overlooked the Internet part of the hotel . The room did not have blackout curtains . I did not get a lot of sleep due to the light.
