Lovely hotel but missed promised sea-view

In principle a lovely hotel (and the staff were really friendly), and in a fantastic location, but it has seen better days. Most irritating for us is that we payed extra for a sea-view, but that view was only visible from an odd corner of the room. Also irritating was that a sea-view from the sofa would be possible, but somebody built a wardrobe that stuck out into the room and hid the sea-view. Moving that wardrobe would be extremely easy and improve the room 100%! Could also remove a chair or two - the room was a good size but very crowded.

Rummet o hela hotellet vÀldigt slitet o nergÄnget. FrÄn vÄrt rum endast utsikt över tak och nödutgÄngar. Badrummet hyllan över vasken, lÄgt kom knappt in m huvet o borsta tÀnderna. Frukosten kletig mjölkkanna, osten gammal o intorkad. Bara vitt bröd. Vi Äterkommer inte. Vi hade ÀndÄ bokat ett bÀttre rum. Ingen hiss o vi skulle egentligen slÀpa vÄra vÀskor upp pÄ tredje vÄningen, men vi fick ett pÄ andra vÄningen. Undrar varför vi inte fick pÄ första? Receptionisten var trevlig. VĂ„rt rum var vĂ€ll sĂ„dĂ€r, vĂ€ldigt enkelt. Toalettsitsen var sne, sĂ€ngen pĂ„ tok för mjuk dĂ„ bĂ€ddmadrassen höll pĂ„ att Ă„ka av. BĂ„da sĂ€ngarna knarrade. Tvn var super liten. Dörrens lĂ„s kĂ€rvade sĂ„ att vi stod lĂ€nge och lirkade innan vi kom in pĂ„ rummet alla gĂ„nger. NĂ€r man skulle tvĂ€tta bort sminket sĂ„ slog man huvudet i en glas hylla som var monterad precis över handfatet, helt klart en mans idé  inga rullgardiner utan mörklĂ€ggnings gardiner som inte gick och dra igen helt dĂ„ dom hade hĂ€ngt en stor julstjĂ€rna i mitten av fönstret. Jag laddade min mobil i en förlĂ€ngningssladd som hĂ€ngde med ifrĂ„n julstjĂ€rnan i fönstret.

Vi bodde en natt pÄ det gamla anrika hotellet och visste pÄ förhand att man bevarat mycket av det gamla i interiören. AtmosfÀren Àr mysig och man hade önskat att vÀggarna kunde tala. Jag gillar att det finns lite patina. Personalen var vÀlkomnande, trevlig och hjÀlpsam. Enkel incheckning och utcheckning. Rummet var rent och sÀngarna mjuka och sköna fast man fick krypa upp i sÀngen eftersom det var vÀggar pÄ bÄda sidorna om sÀngarna. HÀrligt med kuddar i flera storlekar. Toaletten var kanske i minsta laget och man fick sitta pÄ snedden för att fÄ plats. Frukosten hade allt man behöver, med bröd, pÄlÀgg, ost, Àgg, yoghurt, flingor, bacon, korv, frukt, bakverk och vÄfflor. Det enda jag saknade var att kunna lÀsa mig till vad som fanns i de olika yoghurt-behÄllarna och om det var laktosfritt nÄgonstans. Totalt sett ett hÀrligt hotell med mysig atmosfÀr och trevlig personal! Tack.
