Esta piedra construida adosada casa de campo se encuentra en el borde de la aldea de Bream, que se encuentra entre algunos de los paisajes más tranquila y más bonita agricultura en Inglaterra. De la nieve del invierno con el oro del otoño - no hay muchos sitios mejores para pasar unas vacaciones. La casa de campo ofrece un alojamiento acogedor y confortable, con calefacción central pero llena de encanto, con una gran variedad de habitaciones y posibilidades para dormir durante un máximo de 4/6 personas. Esta amplia casa de dos dormitorios tiene un frente cerrado y jardín trasero para su propio uso personal. En la planta baja se encuentra un acogedor salón con estufa de leña, cómoda suite de 3 piezas y TV con TDT. La cocina / comedor ofrece una buena gama de equipos de cocina de calidad, incluyendo tamaño completo doble horno, vitrocerámica, nevera y microondas, congelador independiente y lavadora. El baño de la planta baja se encuentra una suite junto con una cabina de ducha independiente. La primera planta consta de: Un dormitorio con cama doble y 2 dormitorios con dos camas individuales de tamaño completo. Una puerta da acceso a abrir la tierra y el bosque común donde las ovejas pastan libremente una zona de juegos ideal para los niños pequeños. Los propietarios viven al lado, así que si no debería haber ningún problema éstos se pueden remediar fácilmente.

An absolute gem !

Easy to find and such a warm welcome. A beautiful cottage with everything you need. Whether you while away the hours watching the chickens foraging and dustbathing from the front garden, or enjoy the lovely walks from the doorstep, it is a wonderful location for a week away ..or longer.. as there is so much to see and do and the cottage is perfectly placed to explore. It was a priority, having dogs, that there were lots of shady walks nerar-by, we were not disappointed! The Colliers Trail explored Mallards Pike, Cannop Ponds, Speech House Lake and the Sculpture trail. Had a lovely meal at the Miners Arms, and some nice fish n chips from the local. Jane couldn't have done more for us. Such a lovely host. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Perfectly gorgeous place

The cottage, next door to the owner is a lovely property with constant sunshine in the private garden from sunrise to sunset. As we stayed during hot weather we took advantage of the BBQ.The stairs are rather steep.The host was very friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable.The location is lovely with a common in front, our neighbours comprised of many sheep and chickens freely wandering around, which enhanced our experience and as the community is quite small, their friendly inclusive attitude made us feel very much at home.It's a great location for visiting many attractions and local grown produce is readily available at farmers markets, Taurus centre etc. There are a number of pubs in the area with a few within walking distance. The food at these pubs is good too.Would highly recommend this lovely friendly location, tucked away in Lydney

We had a lovely few days at the cottage. It was comfy and cosy and had everything we needed.Jane and Malcolm were lovely, friendly and had lots of free range hens, who our son fell in love with! Perfectly situated for walks or bike rides in the forest, which was literally just out the front door! Just lovely!

Relaxing stay

Lovely cosy cottage in a great location. Central to be able to visit so many other locations. Clean and comfortable. With everything you will ever need for a perfect stay. Was great to wake up with the sheep and chicken roaming freely on the common right outside the cottage gates. Grandchildren loved to see them. Lovely place to relax

Lovely little cottage next to the woodland. The owners were really welcoming and the cottage was fully equipped and really clean. It was the nicest one we have ever stayed in. This will certainly be our first choice if we come down this way again.

Comfortable delightful cottage in fantastic location

The most comfortable cottage we have ever stayed at! Log burner is fantastic but very warm heating too so with the comfy lounge furniture it was hard not to relax! Location is perfect for walking with the forest literally 50metres away. Cottage very well equipped. The lovely owner Jane is next door if needed but left us alone to relax throughout the stay.We will be back for Christmas next year hopefully! Thankyou Jane, fabulous break from start to finish!

Nice place

Great little cosy cottage in a good location. Real log fire in lounge but also has central heating. Stairs are bit on the steep side but then you get that in cottages of this age . Walks just outside your door ( as well last chickens!) Everything you need for a nice stay . Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful stay.

Very enjoyable stay, great location. forest walks within 200 yards, and chickens and grazing sheep outside the front gate. The owners live next door and were very approachable and helpful. Highly recommended for a weeks break.

Restorative and comfortable

Lovely peaceful rural property. Very comfortable lots of little touches which we appreciated. Hosts couldn't have been nicer. I was surprised to find it was a downstairs bathroom as i hadnt noted it on the description. I bit tricky for those of us who need to go at night! However it didnt spoil our stay. The dogs loved watching the animals on the common.and easy access to woodland. Will definitely be returning

Long weekend

We had a great weekend at Oakdene it’s a quaint , quirky cottage in lovely surroundings . Waking up in the morning looking out over the hills and forest is fab. The cottage has all the basics required, it’s not super modern but it is cosy and comfortable and on the doorstep for all the Forest of Dean has to offer for mountain biking and walking . Jane and Malcolm are great host and make you really welcome. We loved going out in the morning and seeing the local sheep on the green and the chickens from next door. The only 2 points I would make are if you have trouble with stairs or a downstairs bathroom is an issue then the property may not be for you. Great garden out the back, sun trap in the afternoon.

Lovely relaxing break

We had a lovely 3 night break with our 2 x daughters and 2 x dogs. The owners live next door and were really friendly and on hand if we needed anything and even gave us some of their freshly laid eggs

It's a cosy cottage build in 1892. Don't expect a modern look , it's old with a modern touch. We stayed a fortnight here and it was a pretty homecoming base. Jane is a wonderful host and can't do enough for you.
