Luxury Connemara Cottage With Panoramic Views Of The Sea And Mountains

The cottage is in the perfect location if you want to wind down and relax in beautiful surroundings but there is also the whole of Connemara to explore, with all of its many attractions and activities being within an hour's drive.

The property is maintained and equipped to a very high standard to provide luxury holiday accommodation.

The spacious but cosy triple-aspect lounge has panoramic views of Kilkieran Bay, and the mountains that surround it, out of every window. There is a feature fireplace made from local stone with a wood- (and local peat-) burning stove. There is also underfloor heating. For entertainment there is a 49" Smart satellite television (includes the main UK channels), a DVD/CD player and free Wifi. There is a good selection of books, DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles - for all ages.

There are three bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms with showers and there is also a family bathroom which has a jacuzzi bath with shower over.

The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen with a double oven/grill and separate induction hob, microwave and a dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in a separate utility room. There is a separate dining room with a walk-through from the kitchen. The dining room table seats up to 8 people.

Outside there is a large area of decking with a garden table and 8 seats from which there are uninterrupted views over Kilkieran Bay and the Maam Turk mountain range. The very large lawn is ideal for playing ball games (balls provided).

Although the cottage is in a get-away-from-it-all location, Connemara's many attractions and activities are in easy reach, all within an hour by car. Here are just a few:

We had a wonderful stay in Connemara. This is one of the best house I have ever stayed in, furnished and equiped to the highest standards. The landscape is amazing, location is very quiet, perfect if you like nature. Mike was very helpful to help us prepare for the trip and gave us advice on things to visit in the area. Very remote but easy access to all the key sites.

Fantastic Connemara getaway experience in modern, beautifully furnished cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and really did feel luxurious in terms of the furniture and all the amenities provided in the house as part of the stay. It really felt like you were staying in your good friend's country cottage and not just 'some rental'. Mike our host was extremely communicative and always at pains to ensure our stay was perfect. The location of the cottage is close to the end of Rosmuc peninsula, 'far from the madding crowds'. The scenery and view from the cottage is truly stunning and we never tired of the ever-changing view out the window of the sea, mountains, sky. It provided a great base from which to explore Connemara. Highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in Rosmuc

The property is as good or better than the photos in the listing. Well maintained and nicely decorated and equipped. The location is just beautiful! A top-notch place to spend time and to use as a base in exploring Connemara. Mike was very helpful and provided loads of great information about the area.

Wonderful haven

Fantastic cottage in Rosmuc. It’s about 5 km off the main road in a little hamlet with stunning views on all sides - sea and hills. The house is immaculately clean, with plenty of space for a family of 5, with 3 grown-up children. The kitchen has everything you will need. The living room has views on three sides, so no matter the weather you can be immersed in the landscape. The solid fuel stove keeps the space toasty warm. On good days the garden has seats to sit outside. Just be aware that you’re advised not to drink the water from the taps, so bring bottled water. Enjoy!!

Amazing location, property and owner!

Beautifully clean, cosy and welcoming. Furniture and fittings are of the best quality and very well cared for. Very good communication from Mike, the owner, who goes the extra mile to make sure you really enjoy your stay and have everything you need. Perfect!

From the very first contact with Mike he was incredibly helpful ranging from giving us advice on the ferry and directions through to supermarkets and places to visit. He genuinely cared that we had a good time, and we absolutely did! The cottage is beyond words! Exactly as described, but no words can adequately convey the views, the scenery and the comfort of the cottage. Yes, it is remote but that is the point. Still plenty of opportunity to visit tourist attractions and shop for supplies, but the peace and quiet can't fail to relax you from the moment you arrive. We stayed at the end of March so the log / peat fire was delightfully cosy. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return at some point.

Lovely Cottage in a Beautiful, Serene Area

Beautiful, clean, fully furnished cottage with all of the accommodations. It is waaay out there, about 40 minutes from the nearest place to eat, drink, and shop, but in a rural, way it was type of area. Mike is the most responsive owner we have ever worked with, not only answering all of our questions about the cottage, but he also went out of his way to answer all questions pertaining to Ireland in general. Top notch cottage and owner!

Such an amazing way to spend a vacation!

The cottage is clean and comfortable. The amenities are top notch. The rental was a breeze. If you are looking to lose yourself in Connamara, let this be your jumping off point. Yes, you will drive a lot, but if you are in this part of Ireland, I assume you expect that. It is worth it! Envision coming home and making dinner after a day of exploring. Then, see yourself sitting with a beverage next to a peat fire. If you can envision that, this is absolutely the best place to turn that dream real.

A wonderful holiday worth every penny

Everything was as advertised or as communicated by the home owner. Communication was great, including the detailed directions to the cottage from the airport and details of local supermarkets. The cottage was spotlessly clean and of a very high quality, it was welcoming and provided everything we needed for our stay. There was no skimping on fuel for the fire, or heating and the clear instructions on laying/ working a peat fire we’re really helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for going the ‘extra mile’ in all things including weather warnings, which enabled us to stock up so we could huddle down with emergency bickies and enjoy the show of Connemara being both wild and beautiful.

Visit to County Galway

A beutiful property with fantastic views which change with the weather. Property was spotless and had everything for a getaway from it all holiday. Having a car is essential as you are out on a peninsula. Local shop /post office which is about 2miles away has everyhthing and they are very friendly and they like to have a little chat with anyone who comes in. Mike the owner was very helpful and provided lots of information about the area. There are plenty of maps at the property to enable you to go and explore the beutiful beaches and the surrounding area. Thanks Mike a great holiday.

Wonderful cottage and area

When we arrived at the cottage, we were surprised by the beauty of the location. The owner also made sure that there was bread, coffee and tea when we arrived in the evening. The cottage is beautiful, fully equiped and perfect for seven people to stay. There were only three of us and we enjoyed the space. Thank you Mike for giving us the chance to experience beautiful Galway this way..

Beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings

I searched the internet with the words ‘idyllic Galway cottage with views’ and this cottage came up. My goodness, it exceeded expectation in all ways! The cottage is beautiful throughout. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the rooms are large and the bedrooms have more than enough storage space. The bathrooms are gleaming and the jacuzzi bath is an added treat. We had mainly beautiful weather for the time of year, but it was chilly on a night, so we lit the peat/wood burner each evening, which added to the ambience of the beautiful living room. The views out of all windows are picture postcard perfect. Mountains, sea and islands in all directions, with the scenery changing depending on the weather and light. Mike, the cottage owner is so helpful and informative and he gave us some fantastic ideas of places to visit in the area that we may not have discovered ourselves. The drive across country to Kylemore Abbey through Inagh Valley is stunning, as are the white sands of Dogs Bay. Take a walk down to the little harbour (turn right out of the drive and follow the road to the end). You may collect several local dogs along the way, but they all seemed friendly and the view at the end is worth the walk. Can’t wait to visit again to do the things we didn’t get round to this time.

We returned to this beautiful cottage for a one week stay. The overall quality of the property continues to be impressive making it a lovely place to spend time in. The surrounding scenery is exceptional at any time of the year and the views from the windows of the property are truly stunning. We highly rate this property for a whole range of reasons. The cottage provides a tranquil escape from it all whilst having plenty to see and do in easy travelling distance. If you want to experience Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way this wonderful Connemara property is ideal.

Idyllic getaway

This was our first trip to Ireland and we will definitely be back. Michael gave us thorough directions to the cottage and explained everything we needed. There is a village shop close by but not much else in the way of services but this adds to the appeal of the cottage as it means you are really getting away from it all. The cottage itself is first class, everything you will need is here Michael seems to have thought of everything to make your stay outstanding, we particularly loved the lounge with windows on every side offering stunning views. The cottage is about half an hour from the nearest beach and pub and an hour from most other attractions. This is not a problem, if you want a totally relaxing, get away from it all holiday this is for you. We loved the peace and quiet and an added bonus was the star gazing which was amazing due to the lack of light pollution. There are plenty of pubs round and about offering excellent food, the seafood chowder is a speciality. Stay at this cottage you won't regret it.

Juwel am Wild Atlantic Way

Das Ferienhaus hat eine phantastische Aussicht, die man von allen Räumen aus genießen kann. Das Grundstück ist herrlich gelegen und den Kaffee auf der Terrasse haben wir jeden Morgen aufgrund der Aussicht wieder genossen. Der Vermieter war sehr um uns bemüjt.
