Perfect choice

This place was perfect for what we were looking for, situated in the village of Santa Maria del Guidice. It was the perfect setting to experience the real Italy but so close to both Pisa and the outstanding beautiful Lucca which is a must visit. The hotel itself is situated at the top of the village perfectly placed for stunning views of the Tuscany rolling hills from both the breakfast/dining terrace and the infinity pool. We had a superior double room which was large and spacious and the decor was in keeping with the renaissance building. Probably not to everyone's taste but exactly what we were looking for, we didn't want to be in a corporate hotel that could have been anywhere in the world. We loved the quirky safe in the stone wall. The bed was great and the shower very powerful, towels and toiletries were changed and stocked each day, the shower gels etc were really nice! Breakfast was your typical continental, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit etc along with various sweet treats as well and no complaints at all . We only had lunch twice at the hotel but it was good portions and very nice. If was a limited menu with Paninis, flat breads and a different pasta each day but definitely value for money. We only ate dinner once , the food was good but unfortunately the service let us down a bit on the night, we put this down to the large wedding also being catered for. Overall a fantastic stay.

A very special place

a really unique place with a very special atmosphere - completely relaxing and a beautiful location. It's family run so very down to earth. The place wasn't completely ready for receiving visitors yet but the staff went out of their way to iron out any difficulties. Absolutely charming and homely with great breakfasts and a stunning pool

Great pool at this rustic gem

Fantastic new pool with beautiful views of the hills! Lovely old rustic building with lots of character. Our room was spacious and clean. Double bed a bit too firm for us but kids slept well. Good to have air con, though was a bit noisy. Good buffet breakfast with something for everyone from Italian cakes and fritata to croissants, museli and fruit. Plus eggs and continental beakfast. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Good base to explore Lucca.

Built in the 14th century, a hidden gem within the mountains of Tuscany. A nice little village with great pizza. Very quite and cozy.

A lovely setting with great pool

The hotel has a great infinity pool at the top of a small climb, with a lovely view. Breakfast buffet was nice. The evening meal was nice, but when we asked for our steaks to be cooked medium, they came extremely well done (charred to a crisp).

Fantastic property!

The property location is between Lucca and Pisa, which makes it very convenient. The location was beautiful, with the mountains all around. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room had high ceilings, great floors, the bed was comfortable and a great view. Breakfast and dinner were delicious.

Hotel Rinascimento, national park, 1/2 hour Pisa.

Great to be in beautiful hilly scenery just 30 minutes from Pisa airport. Lovely old stone manor house. Basic but comfortable cabins in the cheaper annex. Good food, but our dinner was a night for the locals and the service was slow.

Wunderbar gelegen genau zwischen Pisa und Lucca in den toskanischen Hügeln. Ruhig und idyllisch. Sehr schönes Haupthaus mit einem tollen Zimmer. Einfach und schön. Prima Frühstück und ein großer Pool mit Liegen und Aussicht. Wir hatten zwei sehr schöne Tage hier.

L'hotel,situato in posizione strategica a 10 km da Lucca, offre una colazione varia e abbondante sia dolce che salta. Lo staff è cortesissimo, gentile e veloce. Nel compresso il soggiorno è molto positivo, ma l'area nel complesso necessita di maggiore cura e manutenzione.
