We are a hidden gem on the one-mile shoreline of Carbon Beach, affectionately described by the locals as “Billionaire’s Beach” … home to many celebrities. What makes this a highly sought-after vacation rental? Location, location, location! Our beachfront units have unobstructed panoramic ocean views of Catalina Island and The Queens Necklace; coastline views of the Santa Monica Bay to the north and down to Palos Verdes look like a “necklace of lights” in the evening. We are just yards from the famous Surfrider Beach, Malibu Pier, the Adamson House and a range of restaurants, modestly priced to exclusive, including Nobu. We are also close to three contiguous outdoor shopping marts with Whole Foods, Starbucks, world class retail shopping, additional restaurants, yoga, fitness and meditation studios. Nearby there are hiking and biking trails, surf lessons and paddle board rentals.

This 1-bedroom oceanfront unit, decorated shabby beach chic, sleeps 4 and features expansive ocean views from the living room and kitchen. A large private deck sits above the sand so you can sip coffee at sunrise or cocktails at sunset. The beach is steps away from the door of your vacation rental, for hours of play and sun. There are hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped and accented with stainless steel appliances and granite counters.

The rental has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and HD flat screen TV, the living room has a large sleeper sofa, HD flat screen TV and stereo with ipod connection.
Amenities include, WiFi, linens, towels, beach chairs, coffee maker, microwave and gas barbecue. There are laundry facilities on site for your convenience. Included with the rental is a one car garage and parking for an extra car. In addition, the property is gated for extra privacy.

We are pet friendly and there is a pet fee.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway

Angel met us when we arrived and showed us our unit as well as the beach access points. My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights and had an amazing time! We walked to restaurants, hung out on the beach, and spent most of the time on the balcony watching the waves and just enjoying the peace. We highly recommend the sandpiper unit!

Great location on the beach

The property is on the older side, but doesn’t take away from the place and location. Would definitely stay here again. Walked the beach every day of my stay. Walked both ends but prefer the beach on the other side of the pier. Walk past the public beach and lagoon, wide beautiful beach, no rocks. Here in May, so beaches really empty, a plus. The place is fully stocked, lots of towels! Beach towels and chairs available another plus. Angel greeted us and explained everything and showed us around. He was so helpful and kind. Felt good having him around in case there were questions or problems. PHC was still closed, left on May 21st. All in all, loved the place and will definitely be back.

Disappointed with the property, location, weather, and lack of communication.

The place looks nice in the pictures, but the reality was completely different.Ants were everywhere- i have a video that i can share , the pull-out couch was extremely uncomfortable, impossible to sleep on it and water was splashing directly onto the balcony.On our last night, there were road closures and an expected mudslide. When we called the emergency line, they advised us to leave the area immediately if we had a flight to catch at LAX the next day. We had to gather our belongings quickly and evacuate. I reached out to the owner for guidance but never received a response.If you're dreaming of a stay in Malibu, you may want to think twice before booking this place.

Wonderful Vacation in Malibu

These properties on Carbon Beach are truly secret gems. Malibu really is one of favorite places and to be able to stay in a place and literally wake up on the beach hearing the waves all day and night is priceless. The staff is responsive and the units are very cute and clean and I cannot stress enough how wonderful the location is. You have the cross creek shops less than a mile away , the pier, Nobu,etc. You’re also far enough east to venture into Santa Monica pretty easily if you want to. I have stayed in several of these units , and plan on continuing to return. We spent my birthday and Thanksgiving there this time and it was magical.

Upstairs Neighbors

The property was very nice, great location, clean, and felt safe. However, the neighbors upstairs either had a very large dog running and jumping around or an adult was moving and stomping/running around all hours of the night making sleep difficult. (I know this is not the fault of the VRBO). But for the price I/we were hoping for a little bit more "quiet" at night.

Absolutely gorgeous location with an amazing view right on the beach. Morning sunrise was stunning. The property was all we needed and just sitting on the porch with the sound of the waves was so relaxing. The pier was a great place to eat and just down the road were other great places. It was a bit hard to find at night but the traffic was usually light.

Location, location, location

If you’re looking for an oceanfront vacation, this is the place for you. If the ocean was any closer you’d need a bathing suit to eat breakfast. This cozy apartment is ideal for two. It’s an old building but well maintained. It’s located right on the Pacific Coast Highway but road noise was not an issue. The only noise is the sound of the Pacific Ocean.

Angel was on site to set us up with all we needed. He was a tremendous help during our whole stay and went above and beyond for us. The condo its self was ok. Had a gas leak issue, which Angel fixed immediately. If I stay in this complex again I may stay in a different condo, but my decision to pick this complex again will be because of Angel and how wonderful he is.

Best location!

Coming to Malibu for a few days of rest and relaxation required a house that was close to the beach. This property checked all the boxes. It was perfectly sized for my husband and I, it had everything we needed so we didn't have to pack a lot of extra stuff and the location couldn't have gotten any better! It was easy to find, close to restaurants and attractions, either a short walk or short drive. The owner and caretaker were wonderful, I highly recommend this rental!

What a relaxing, stress free weekend we had!! Perfect way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary!! The crashing waves and that ocean breeze melted all my stress away! To be able to just walk out on the balcony at any given moment, with my cup of coffee was amazing! And walk down a few steps to a private, non-crowded beach?! Amazing! Everyone should do this at least once in their lifetime! Property was cozy, comfy, perfect temp!

Honest apartment with everything you need; priceless location.

That we return to Sandpiper says a great deal. It's not a smoked-glass gin palace, just a good, honest waterfront apartment - with exactly the same views of the Pacific and its wildlife as places costing ten times as much. Perfectly-placed to wander out for lunch or dinner at Malibu Farm Cafe or Restaurant, just-right beach walks, or to local shops. It's minutes drive from the Malibu Country Market shopping centre (and celeb-spotting...), a few minutes more to Malibu Seafood, and fish & chips every bit as good as anything you'll find in the UK (although some fish you won't find in Grimsby...). Take ear plugs - the Pacific waves crash directly under the balcony, and rush hour traffic noise can feed through to the bedroom in the back. Meanwhile, property manager Angel is never more than minutes away from being able to answer questions. Secure parking is a blessing - it can get a bit mad and cluttered on the PCH.
