We were very frustrated upon arrival to learn that the third bedroom is detached. That was not stated in the listing. We were traveling as a family of 4 and this made us very uncomfortable. One child had to sleep in this separate space and therefore was not behind the same locked door as the rest of our family. In order to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, he needed to enter through a locked door to access the main house. I reported this through the app right when we checked in and also noted that there was a musty smell in that room because it’s not really a proper room. I heard back from the host’s property manager via the app and they offered to have the room cleaned, but you can’t clean the smell of moldy basement. I called the number provided and spoke to someone who was not familiar with the property. He told me he would look into it and to continue communicating in the app. After another few exchanges it was clear that our concerns were not being taken seriously. We were told they would update the listing for future guests. I hope they do.The outdoor space and the location was great. Had we been traveling without kids, our experience may have been different.
