Great stay at Holiday Inn Express Van Nuys. Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a good complimentary breakfast. The location is convenient for getting around the San Fernando Valley, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Los Angeles.

Some lights didn't work and it felt like a step up from 2 star hotel. Paper cups for coffee was disappointing. Towels felt hard as a rock. Pillows were not comfy but the bed was. BUT THE BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING!! Hearty!!! Room was ok for Expedia price but I would not have been happy if it were any more expensive.

Staff wasn’t helpful. I asked for my room to be cleaned and was told they only cleaned it every three days. I was only staying three days. I asked I needed it cleaned anyway. They only brought towels and no toilet paper. I tried calling from room fit to but phone didn’t work. Had to use my cellphone and they were hard to get a hold of. Once I did, was told they couldn’t send anyone to bring to to us and I would have to go down and get at 11pm at night when we came back from a tiring outing. Bathroom room was supposed to have Dove toiletries, but it was just the bottles refilled with very cheap ones. Will never stay at one of these again. Reviews on sight were very wrong.

HIE Van Nuys accommodations were right up there for my business stay this week. Staff was very courteous. Breakfast buffet excellent & run by one of the more professional & efficient attendants I have seen in the business. Annoying that Expedia does not disclose the $15 parking fee but seems to be standard for inns in the area. Also would be nice if Bloomberg TV was a channel option for the in-room screen…..some of us like to migrate away from the iPad when traveling. Lou S.

We made a late reservation...11pm. Didnt get there til 12:40 am. Tried calling front desk numerous times...no answer. Was not sure we would be able to check in at the lateness if our arrival. The front desk said nothing when I asked why no one was answering the phone. The lobby was dead. Very frustrating! Answer the phone!
