Five Star Luxury this is not. Pleasant staff but the whole place is very tired and in need of a serious upgrade to be considered five star or luxurious. Very poor quality finish on decor that has seen better days. The bed linen and towels were of good quality but it ends there unfortunately. Room needed: blackout blinds, a toilet that didn’t make a noise every few seconds to the point my wife described it as torture, a shower that doesn’t decide its own temperature every few seconds, a toilet that isn’t so close to the floor you can hardly get up, sockets which actually allow you boil a kettle safely and a bathroom and a lift (there are five floors!) bigger than something from The Borrowers. Good location but totally misleading marketing and overpriced for a stay that Premier Inn could beat. I seriously question whether the reviews on other sites are authentic. Disappointing on what was a special weekend for us. Never again. Would not recommend.

I recently stayed with my husband for our honeymoon at Sydney House. We stayed for 9 nights and had a lovely time. The staff were all so friendly and kind, we loved chatting with them all. Breakfast was a standout - we loved the options. The bed was comfortable, and while space was a little tight this is no different to other London hotels I have stayed in. We definitely agreed we would be back based on this experience!

I have mixed feelings. Our stay was good and the room was clean. However, the room needed an update as things were rather worn (for example, leather seating was uncomfortable and would't stay in place). The bathroom was small and quality was not consistent with a high rating. Finally, the power outlets were unsuited for international travelers. I don't mind local country outlets, but but there was only one usable outlet outside of the bathroom and it didn't meet the needs of two travelers with an average number of devices. In contrast, the breakfast quality was great and the people working at the hotel were friendly and accomodating. In summary, the hotel has some good points, but the facilities are not close to four or five stars.

The property served the purpose of our trip.Very clean,comfy bed and reasonably priced for the area.Bathroom was a bit awkward as toilet was very low to the floor and shower couldn’t be adjusted upwards so had to bend down to was hair. Staff friendly and on call 24hrs.Stairways very narrow so if like my wife your claustrophobic I might think about staying somewhere else if also unable to use the very small lifts!!

Cant drink the water

Check in and out was fine, had approached the hotel about my partners birthfsy but received no reply bsck, upon chickin we were asked if there was any special occasion for the stay and they wrote done birthdsy but im still waiting to see why thst was relevant. Cant drink the water on site so a bottle was supplied in the room, whoch wasnt enough for the 2 of us. Room was average size for london and abit tatty but clean enough, location was good, probably wouldn't stay here again. So oversll communication poor, check in and out good, room average, location good.

Staff were great and the location was amazing with easy access to the Underground and lots of restaurants. Unfortunately, we felt the property was very small and we found the deluxe room to be below standard. Our opinion is that the rating on the property did not match our experience.

Clean and ideal with very professional, friendly staff . I stayed one night in order to be near the Brompton hospital as I was having a procedure very early the next day . But I would recommend for longer stays if you want to tour London and need a place to crash at night .

A hidden gem in Chelsea. Lovely boutique Hotel in a quiet area a short walk from Kensington. Ideal for a weekend in London. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Great value for money.

Hotel is less luxurious than the website promises and rather overpriced. The deluxe double room was tiny and the drainage in the bathroom was dodgy BUT the bed was v comfortable, delicious breakfast cooked to order and lovely staff.
