Comfortable and stylish London aparthotel

I was so pleased with the room and the service of the staff. The room was decorated nicely with a comfy king bed and a nice double pull out bed. They left little snacks and drinks in the room for us which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful. My friend was staying in the same hotel in a different room and the staff assigned us rooms right next to each other when we requested that. Great value for London and nice location.

First appearance of room was good. Several lights and switches didn’t work Ring marks on bedside tables and crusty stain on bed throw Location good , close to Paddington station. Parking at Hilton metropole was recommended but very EXPENSIVE

Expensive and Disappointing

Good location and staff were friendly but the room was tired and grubby. Air con and more than half the lights didn't work. Windows rattled all night and you could hear constant banging around from the room upstairs. Good location for getting around but noisy area and windows were rubbish so you could hear people talking on the street outside. Typical London prices with very little quality.

Ok but much room for improvement

Staff were friendly and visually the property is decorated nicely and is clean. However, the air on doesn’t work and the windows don’t open, the rooms are stifling. The toilet blocks and the shower didn’t drain. You can hear everything inside and outside the room. The remote controls don’t work even after the batteries were changed and there seemed to be tonnes of switches, for the life of me I have no idea what they were operating because I still couldn’t get the light to switch on above the bed.

Disappointing that the room advertised was not the room given. Was expecting an apartment with a seating area and more of a kitchenette. This was just a like a normal hotel room. Housekeeping, very slow on first day and on the last morning walked in whilst we were still in bed Without knocking. Reception staff not helpful

Great room, great location!

Last minute booking so to get a room like this for the price was lucky for me - the in-room complimentary snacks are a simple idea but well appreciated after a long day of travelling and work. Location is ideal, a short walk from all manner of places to eat or drink as well as being a stones throw from Paddington Station.

Really lovely place, only issue was the heating, maybe turn it down a little felt really warm all night and the noise outside was really loud there was fireworks going off and loud till about 2am . Other than that staff were amazing and lovely

Comfortable and clean

The room was great, clean and spacious. I loved that it had a full length mirror and a lot of storage space. Had two tables which was great if I needed to work or eat. Included all facilities including cutlery which was great. The shower would need a little makeover and the sofa had a few stains here and there. However, overall a wonderful hotel room and I would love to go again.

The people at the reception desk her very nice and helpful. The elevator broke on the day we were leaving so we had to carry all our luggage down the stairs and over bags filled with laundry. Other than that, it was a great experience!

Avoid this place!!

Avoid this place please!! Rude staff demanded I pay extra at check in because there was two of us not one. On their rules page it states “base rates are based on 2 people sharing” when I explained this to the rude receptionist she called me a liar and said “I think you will find it doesn’t say that” she was arguing with me in reception which was incredibly awkward and a terrible first impression. I also showed her that when you change your booking from 1 to 2 it doesn’t change the price at all but she demanded more money otherwise she would refuse to check us in. Clearly a scam to get more out of you when you book. Not that it’s even a cheap option to stay! They must make lots out of this scam. They should take off the rules page that the rates are for 2 people and make it clear that you will get charged more on check in. Only time I’ve ever experienced this and I am a platinum member on this website which means I book a lot of hotels each year. It got worse from there. The photos are clearly very old or edited as the condition and cleanliness of the rooms is very poor. We also hardly slept due to the noise from other rooms. I’d avoid this place if I were you.

A disappointing stay: Sensor light was faulty and switching on and off all night while we were in bed making it very hard to sleep; windows and doors need fixing - they all rattle loudly with the wind, the door handle to the bathroom fell off and also we had to make our own bed which was disappointing as we arrived in late at night tired and had booked for four people and only the bed for two people was made up, we had to make up the sofa bed ourselves.
