Room was comfortable, even though there's no air conditioning but we managed with the fan and open windows, we lucked out with good weather and not too hot. Hotel has nothing fancy, the breakfast was average but a bit overpriced at 19 pounds.

Comfortable beds and bedding. Bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. We were allowed to store our luggage both before and after our stay for free of charge. Might be an America. thing but I missed air conditioning, ice and wash cloths. I did appreciate the large fan. It helped with air circulation.

Check -in was a poor experience they wanted so much info inc email, passport no, mobile and address despite having already gotten it during booking. Were unable to product their GDPR policy when asked. No air conditioning

A winner!!

For a large, busy hotel, the Royal National is always exceptionally well organised and staff go out of their way to provide great service. The City Sleeper at the Royal National provides nicer, upgraded rooms in a quieter wing of the hotel. It comes with its own reception desk and separate breakfast room. Brilliant location only 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross station and then 20 minutes onwards to Covent Garden. Nearest tube stop and also the British Museum are 5 minutes away. With London hotels costing a fortune, especially at the weekend, this is our ‘go to’ hotel when visiting the capital; providing a good balance of cost, location and quality.

Really can’t fault this hotel. It’s in an excellent location within walking distance to the west end etc plus 2 tube stations less than 10 mins walk away. The staff (Wasim in particular) were so friendly and helpful and hotel was spotless. Only minor niggle was that our room was a bit noisy in the evening which I only noticed as I was with my 8 year old daughter so going to bed a bit earlier than usual. If you’re worried about noise maybe ask for a higher floor / room facing away from the courtyard. We’ll definitely be coming back to this hotel.

Nice hotel. Clean, rooms are not to small considering the price point. No A/C but fan provided and window opens slightly.
