The property is a bit hard to find - it’s located within Bourne Court (off Baldwin gardens) and isn’t marked in any way as a hotel (rooms). The property has 4 rooms over 2 floors and these rooms share 2 toilets between them. The rooms don’t have good soundproofing so depending on who is in the other rooms will impact your sleep/stay. The place also has a full kitchen which is shared between the rooms. I stayed in the triple room and the room was adequate for 2 and 3 if the sofa bed is used. There is a kettle in the room and tea bags but mugs can be found in the kitchen downstairs. The bed was comfortable but the room was freezing cold and there is no way to turn on any heating, even though there is an electric fire in the room (unable to turn it on). The window is single glazed so you can hear everything outside and this doesn’t help with the room being cold. I slept with 2 duvets in me (using the one which is suppose to be for the sofa bed) Huge tv in the room which only has apps on it. Overall I was lucky with the people who stayed here in the other rooms as they came back at 1am and made lots of noise for about 30 mins but then went to sleep. If you are a light sleeper or want an early night - do not stay here. The front door has to be slammed to be closed and rooms/toilet doors also make noise when being opened/closed. Overall - you get what you pay for. Being so close to the tube it’s good for one night and if you are using it as a place to crash.

The room was decorated nicely and bed was comfortable however there was no toilet roll at all, no shower gel, just didn't involve any amenities and I can't believe toilet roll and tissues weren't included! The stay was alright, we didn't hate it but probably wouldn't go back

Shared bathroom, and common areas were a bit grubby and tatty, room was extremely hot even with window open and wall was dirty next to the bed. When booking didn't realise this is a room in a house not hotel.

The place is not what they advertised. Definitely not a hotel. They didn't give enough inform on check-in. It was difficult to find the place, open the doors etc. I had to keep calling to get help. I didn't even know my room number. I had to ask for a portable heater as the one in the room gave me a hard time to operate and it wasn't warm enough.

Looks nothing like the picture, and the listed days there is a bathtub which I would take to mean there is a bathroom only to find it was shared, very annoying as that is not at all clear. It is a basic room with no cups to go with the kettle. I wouldn’t book again, it was clean so if you are ok with a shared shower room and toilet you should be ok but it is just a bed and look absolutely nothing like the pictures they use on the site.

Acceptable, but probably won't book again

Pros: location, had the basics requirements needed, bed was quite comfy, fairly inexpensive Cons: not clear from listing that it's a shared accomodation, which I would not have picked as a solo female traveller. Bedroom doors lock but still not ideal setup. Lacking basics that a true hotel would have like toiletries though I brought my own. There was a kettle and tea and sugar, but no cup or coffee or milk in room (?) Cleanliness wasn't the best, but it was acceptable. Shower sprayed water everywhere - be prepared to mop up the floor with a towel! Would have been very small space for the 4 people expected to fit in the room! Fine for 1-2 people. Was a bit taken aback at having to send my ID and £300 deposit in advance (maybe not ideal if you don't want that money unavailable to you?) but it was promptly released from card by the day after stay. Comms werent great - they initially asked me to pay for the room after I'd already paid hotels.com, and later on asked for my ID after I'd already submitted. Also didn't get check in instructions until 2pm on day of arrival - check in isn't until 4pm but if you like to have all your info in advance it's not ideal. First day in new job and I didn't even know if I was going to be able to check in! Overall I will probably book something else for my work trips going forward as I'd rather pay more and have less cons, but might consider booking this again if I really wanted the location.

Decent Experience

Decent location, nice clean rooms and kitchen, however was not told beforehand that it was a shared bathroom and struggled to get a reply over message. Was told multiple times that I would be sent a check in code and had to call them 3 times to finally get it. Very nice inside but just beware that it does feel like you're staying in someone's house.

Fake hotel with hidden costs.

This is not a hotel. You are renting a room in an indecent town home. There is no front desk, and upon arrival you are unable to enter the building without filling out a long form and paying an additional 300 pound deposit that was not disclosed. I'm hoping I am able to get it back.

I stayed in a compact room in a town house which had other rooms available. In my room there was a comfortable single bed, towels, a TV and kettle, and on the same floor was a nicely furnished, shared shower room. The room was perfect for my needs (just needed a bed for the night) and quite close to the West End with a handful of shops nearby. The owner introduced themselves via WhatsApp and shared the access code at check in time (4pm); I didn't need any further help but they seemed very approachable.

Strange and unclean

This is a small council house converted into separate rooms. Our room was sold as a triple, but was a double with a broken sofa bed which when folded out blocked all movement in the room, stopping the use of the (tiny) wardrobe and the storage unit. There were two dirty mugs, a used teaspoon and empty tea bag wrappers in our room, but no one to contact about this as it isn’t a hotel. There is a kitchen where I could get clean mugs/spoons, but there was no milk/milk sachets anywhere. The only thing going for this place is the location.

Cheap but weired :)

Inexpensive. However its all a bit weired. Find a random house on an estate. Work out how the door lock works and find your room. Bed about 5 ft in the air. Telly, but not connected to anything. Have to share a bathroom. Which means you have to get dressed in the night to go to the loo. A dozen emails and forms you have to fill in and a deposit. Just get a hotel.
