About this property
Farmstay in Peaceful Canyon
Stay on a family-owned working farm with an organic garden, free-range chickens, goats, and dairy cows. Enjoy the sweeping views of the canyon, bright night stars, and our gentle Mediterranean climate from the sprawling deck. Cows meander right past the windows behind the house, and goats are eager to meet new friends and eat goat feed from your hands. This is a place for dreamers, with space to breathe and simplicity that offers respite from the day-to-day rush.
The house is tucked away in a corner of our 40-acre property surrounded by old-growth oak trees. In front of the house is a large, fenced-off lawn, perfect for letting kids get their wiggles out, or for playing a group game of frisbee or soccer. The large deck wraps around the whole house allowing for breathtaking views of the farm from above, and the bright stars at night. The large farmhouse kitchen is perfect for cooking up a haul from the farm stand just a short walk away. Fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, and handmade items all from our farm and local farm partners are stocked, and the farm stand is open on the honor system from sun up to sun down. Wake up early to watch our team as they milk the goats, feed the chickens, and collect eggs in the morning; or view the garden as the team buzzes with harvesting, weeding, planting, and irrigating by hand.
Guests have access to the entire house, back patio, deck, and front lawn. The giant front lawn is shared by the hosts. They're also free to walk around the farm to visit the animals, look at the garden, and shop the farm stand. The property with horses is not ours.
The large grassy area in front of the house is shared with our family as we use it to play with our children. Come say Hi if you see us!
We are eager to make your stay with us comfortable and memorable. We are sometimes available on the property, however, the best way to reach us is through the Airbnb app or by text message.
A trip to nearby Lompoc is ripe for adventure. The town is just 5 minutes from the farm, and the valley offers activities including golf, biking, hiking, surfing, and even sky diving! A stop by the Lompoc Wine Ghetto will offer a taste of the local wines from the Santa Rita Hills wine appellation. Lompoc has space to explore – where Highway 1 meets Route 246. See more at explorelompoc.com.
Please note there is very little cell service on the farm. If you require it, please do not expect it at the farm and look for another place to stay. Otherwise, ENJOY being unplugged for a bit. Your soul and mind will thank you.
THERE ARE FREE ROAMING DOGS ON THE FARM. They will come say Hello. They will bark to alert us when you drive up. They are all cuddly and friendly; they play gently with our 4 small children.
We are in the country. There are bugs, wildlife, and dirt. We clean bugs away regularly but they come back quickly. At night there is a chance of seeing a fox, raccoon, skunk, opossum, or a very rare bobcat. They will very rarely approach or even come close. Do not be alarmed. Please do not feed our dogs or the wild animals. If you would like to feed the goats or chickens, bags are made available at the Farm Stand for $2.00 that are labeled for the correct type of animal. Thank you for choosing to stay with us! We put a lot of effort into making this space comfortable and enjoyable for you. Please treat it with the same respect as you would your own home: treat it gently and clean up after yourself. If you have any trouble with any of the amenities, let us know so we can correct the problem.

Good for my family
I gave the Overall Rating a 4 star. I am a stubborn, self sustaining, Dutchman. I realize that Jeremy and Meagan are really busy and may have others doing maintenance on the house. I was a little disappointed to have Duck tape holding the drinking faucet at the kitchen sink. Also the Toilet tissue holder in the Main suite was broken and the part just put in the cabinet under the sink. Just a couple things that I would have repaired, even if I had to do it myself? Sorry to nick pick?

Overall Very Nice
Had a little problem checking in because maps on my phone didn't take us directly to the home, no coverage once we got out to the site. Had a neighbor show us where the house was located. Other than that, the stay was great, only stayed from about 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. next morning, but very comfortable. Enjoyed the cows roaming right past our kitchen window!
This was such a great experience! Absolutely love seeing cows walk past the windows multiple times a day! So much better than staying at a hotel!

Peaceful long weekend
Charming country home was perfect for our weekend in Lompoc to attend a Class Reunion. We so enjoyed the cows and the goats. The property was clean and comfortable, providing everything we needed. We didn’t use the TV as we were busy with other things, the beds were comfy and the surroundings were stunning. Jeremy was friendly and answered any questions we had. The only difficulty we had was the check in process, but it was resolved without much of a delay. Would definitely recommend this property.
We loved our stay. I watched the cows walk the bathroom window while getting ready in the morning! The home is much bigger and more spacious than it looks like it would be. We spent most of our time sitting on the wraparound porch listening to the cacophony of nature sounds: lots of birds, coyotes, cows and goats. Our dog LOVES goats, he just sat and stared for hours.

Family Farm house
Sweet out of the way place and had everything we needed for our weekend. Quiet country farm atmosphere. Couple of large dogs running around. The dogs were friendly but because we have a small dog we just kept a close watch. Overall it was a great place and only 45mins from Solvang.
