Generally good hotel, friendly staff and drivers. My room was very presented however was located right at the end of the 1st floor with open walkways which was wet during the rain. Further I asked for a room close to my friends in advance which was not honoured. 1st night aircon temperature was too high tried to adjust didn’t work, flickering bathroom light (under sink) which needed to be disconnected. Inner sliding door did not shut properly. I had to log these to get fixed. Rooms should be checked before guests arrived to ensure all is working properly. Housekeeping were slow in bringing toiletries and drinking essentials when requested had to call through several times. Restaurant/bar prices were high and no discount offered to South African citizens which was a shame. Suggest to have a small kiosk/shop on site for essentials and snacks as nothing is currently available except a gift store.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing setting. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had good selection. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. Sunset cruise (additional cost) from hotel jetty was icing on the cake. This hotel surpassed our expectations and we left with heavy hearts. Would certainly recommend.

Ridiculous customer service! We stayed July 5 and booked an excursion for the Elephant Cafe dinner in-person through their activity center. We got confirmation and our card was charged for the acitvity. We waited an hour past the pick up time, only to be told there was a miscommunication between the hotel and vendor and we were not added for that excursion and will miss out. That alone is upsetting enough. But we gave them grace and agreed to the refund. They were suppose to refund is for the activity. It’s been almost two months and every time I communicate with them, I get zero updates.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It is so magical and everyone working there made our stay so incredibly special. Watching the wildlife from the banks of the Zambezi was breathtaking, and there were always dozens of elephants around the road in/out of the hotel.
The views from the hotel across the Zambezi are simply stunning.

Elephants are an occupational hazard when you’re trying to leave the hotel… there are so many that they do occasionally get in the way!
