Lovely building from the outside,friendly hospitality.Unfortunately the room was in much Need of modernisation,breakfast was average at best with dirty table clothes.

The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good, at a budget price. If you don't expect too much from the hotel , (it's not been refurbished for decades) then it's a decent place to stay.

Nice room with terrace which was a bonus. Great shower and floor was quiet. Not much in the way of facilities but it's a 10 minute walk to the main street in Southport so no problem. Second time I've stayed and would stay again

It was a few days away with the family. I have stayed in the hotel many time’s now and really enjoy staying here, it’s quiet, clean, cosy and comfortable. The two ladies and gentlemen who run the hotel are nice, friendly and helpful. Looking forward to staying again next year.

Room was big, parking on site, close to town centre but very quiet. Could do with swapping the curtains for thicker ones as they were very thin and I was up at the crack of dawn because they did little to filter the light. All in all a pleasant stay, would probably stay again if I go back to Southport.

Unfortunately the property is in need of decorating and modernising.It was only for one night for us and the beds appeared clean but it was a bit of a walk to the centre.I didn't want to write a review because I wouldn't want to upset anybody.

Shabby shame

The beds were really comfortable slept like a log reception was absolutely lovely service but the room needed a very deep clean....cobwebs hanging from ceiling mould in bathroom cracked cups on tea tray mould in the fridge door

First night wasn’t great cold room but 2nd night they moved us to a garden room which was much better. Lovely gardens to sit and relax the bathrooms and bedroom are rather tired but ok for the price

No parking on arrival all spaces had been taken so bear this in mind as I was expecting there to be a space. I was able to park on the currently unoccupied care home next door however, this is shortly up for auction. Beds were unfortunately not comfy at all and the pillows lumpy. The bathroom sink was electrified! Electric shocks when touching the taps and even getting shocks off the water when it was coming out of the taps. Stayed for 2 nights and woke up on the second night at 1am by banging and music being played. I really didn't want to listen to Dolly Partons greatest hits at this time of night. Unfortunately this "hotel" needs an awful lot of money spent on it to get it at least safe if nothing else. I don't like leaving negative reviews but when it comes to safety I felt I needed to write this. I made the lady aware on reception about the "shocking" plumbing.
