Totalmente equipado y renovado, este apartamento es ideal para unas vacaciones de esquí exitosas en familia o con amigos. todas las tiendas están a menos de 3 minutos a pie, así como el centro deportivo y el ESF. El principio y el final para esquiar son esquí al pie al salir del apartamento directamente al final del pasillo por la salida trasera del edificio.

We had a really enjoyable week in this apartment, and the location was excellent.The apartment is very close to the sports centre, spa, and Carrefour/Spar supermarkets. It’s also only around a 100m walk to access the piste via the rear door, and when conditions are good, it’s possible to ski back to the door.The apartment itself is a good size. There were four adult men in our group, with one in each room and one on the sofa bed, and it never felt cramped. All beds apart from the sofa bed were very comfortable. We used a mattress topper stored in the base of the double bed to make the sofa bed more comfortable.The apartment is basic but has everything needed for a week’s stay. The oven is very small and positioned on a high shelf, which makes it awkward to use, but we were still glad to have it. Overall, the apartment is showing its age and would benefit from a general update and refresh. We also noticed slow-draining sinks/showers, loose toilet seats, and a coffee machine that wasn’t working.Access is arranged by calling Ludo around 30 minutes before arrival. He is based in Sports 2000 in the sports centre. We struggled to get through on his mobile, so had to collect the keys and bedding from the shop instead. It wasn’t a major issue as it’s nearby, but it would have been helpful if this was clearly explained in the host’s guide.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking again if we return to Val Thorens.

Extremely disappointing stay – cleanliness, safety, and misleading listing. We arrived at 8pm to find the apartment only partially cleaned. Beds were not made and appeared unchanged, toilets were filthy, bins were left full with bags beside them, only two toilet rolls were provided, and there were no clean towels. Previous guests’ towels and clothing were still in the rooms. Despite a lockbox on the door, we were required to collect keys from a nearby ski shop. The contact did not answer the phone adding frustration to the checkin. We were told cleaners thought we were arriving the next day. Towels were later delivered but were old, mismatched, and poor quality. No cleaning was offered despite photo evidence, nor was any cleaning fee refunded. That night, a serious safety issue occurred when my son received an electric shock while turning on the shower. An electrician entered the apartment the following day and said he hoped he fixed the issue. We did not use the 2nd bathroom again. Instead it became ski storage. The apartment is poorly maintained: a toilet doorknob fell off, the toilet seats were broken, bathroom tiles were cracked and sharp, and the bunk bed boards were broken & sagging. The listing advertised a hot tub but this is actually at a community centre next door costing 23 per person per visit. While the host refunded pool access, the listing was misleading. Positives include a good location, nearby stores, kitchen, smart TVs & heated towel racks.

Val Thoren Easter 2025

Property is well located and overall would have been a practical space for 4 adults and 2 children; 8 persons would be a bit of a squeeze. Overall cleanliness was average bed sheets was stained and reported to Ludo who manages the keys for check in and out, but nothing was done. The property cleanliness on check in could have done with a bit more effort as certain things needed a further clean. Communication with property owner was great and in fairness any issue was actioned promptly. Apart from a couple of minor issues the apartment is good and well equipped.

Excellent property

Thierry's apartment is extremely well located, right in the middle of VT with ski in access from the side of Castor and Pollux lift and only a few minutes walk to the shops / restaurants etc. We had a few issues working the key when we first arrived as it does require a certain technique, but was fine once we got the hang of it! The living space is spacious and the kitchen extremely well appointed, with great quality equipment and plenty of supplies for a family of 4. The information book we received ahead of our trip was very helpful and Thierry was super responsive to any questions we had. Thank you!

Great Location and view is stunning

We really enjoyed our stay, a very well equipped apartment and great location. A 2 minute walk with skies to slopes and ski in. Nice to have 2 bathrooms with separate toilet, water was always hot. Would stay here again.

Appartement idéal pour un groupe au abord des pistes

Tres belle semaine de passée. Appartement lumineux, suffisamment grand pour 8 personnes meme si deux chambres se trouvent dans le séjour. Les 2 sanitaires sont pratiques. Bien que l’appartement montre d’importants signes de rénovation, nous avons put constater son usure. Néanmoins, c’est tres agréable de louer un appartement avec une cuisine aussi bien équipée. Je recommande !

Great potential but let down by the managing agent and check in process

We visited as 6 adults in February 2022 and overall did have a great trip to Val Thorens. However, unfortunately had a terrible start to our holiday. When we arrived the check in instructions were to collect the keys from a man called Ludo at a nearby ski shop. We were instructed to call Ludo upon arrival to arrange Key collection, however there was no answer when calling the telephone number provided. After some confusion we finally managed to find the ski shop located within a small shopping mall and were met by further confusion being told the apartment may or may not be ready. The man in the ski shop (I don't think this was Ludo) then walked us down to the apartment and let us in. The place was a mess and had not been cleaned following the check out of previous guests. The bathrooms were unclean and there was unclean linen and towels on the floor in all rooms. The man who let us in then left and said someone would be back. I then finally managed to get hold of Ludo on the phone who was incredibly rude about the whole situation and told me the cleaners were not available until the following day, after which he put the phone down on me and refused to pick up the phone again. We never heard from him again after that exchange. The man who worked in the ski shop then returned with some cleaning equipment and began cleaning the bathrooms, however he told us that he wasn't sure if and when clean bed linen and towels would be available. We decided to make the best of a bad situation and go to get some food while the apartment was cleaned. We returned to the apartment at approximately 8pm and found a pile of clean bed linen on the kitchen centre island however none of the beds were made and there were no towels provided. The next day the property owner Thierry contacted me directly and apologised for the situation, he also agreed to a refund of the service fee which Vrbo had requested for us. I note that Vrbo were very helpful with the situation and even offered to find us alternative accommodation, however we decided to stay as the apartment was nice apart from the issues mentioned above. After a very rough start to our holiday we ended up having a great time. The apartment has wonderful views over the mountain and is only a short walk from the shops, bars and restaurants. Furthermore the ski lifts are only a very short walk from the door and it is possible to ski right back to the door of the apartment

Nice and spacious

Stayed here with my wife and 7yr old daughter plus my sister and cousin. The apartment is 2 apartments converted into one and as such there was plenty plenty of space for the 5 of us. 2x showers and 2x bathrooms meant we never had to wait to use either. Views of the mountain are amazing! Apartment is located in a quieter spot of Val thorens which was perfect for us. The building is ski-in for intermediate and advanced skiers, but not really ski-out due to being at the bottom of a narrow run. But you can walk 2 min out of the front of the building to the nearest slope, which is a green.
