Dutch Wonderland Inn
5/5 Excellent
"The rooms are recently remodeled so up to date and clean. However, both our room and our son’s had an issue with the shade. There is a large bead on the chain to close it and it was caught inside the top. After a struggle it released.
The rainy day and early season meant no outside swimming or amusement park. The inside pool is small and a lifeguard always on duty, 9:30-9:30. Hot tub is small - sits 6. It’s not great. I couldn’t see controls anywhere so jets aren’t strong. A small baby pool is great for the little ones. It says 1.5 ft deep but more like a foot. The bigger kids really enjoyed the big pool.
Dinner at Penleys was ok. The Cobb salad great and chicken nuggets and fries typical. Our son got the brats. He enjoyed them but we both thought the gravy wasn’t needed. I would have liked some cooked marks on them. Mac and cheese looked good
The only option for breakfast was the buffet. The only gf/df choices were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and granola. Oatmeal with topping choices would have been welcomed. Pancakes and waffles were precooked
