Quiet and peaceful yet walk to Charming Downtown MT. Dora

This unique property is at the end of E. 5th Ave in a quiet neighborhood with a conservation area on one side and Lake in the back. It is in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to Mt. Dora with all of its quaint shops, restaurants and activities. There is always something going on in Mt. Dora and you can get a complete list of activities by googling Mt. Dora on the internet. The property is .8 miles to Downtown Donnelly Park
The Uptown Nature Retreat is accessed on the left side of the house next to the Conservation area with lots of butterflies and birds. As you walk into the house you are in the living room with dining area and access to the screened in back porch. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space and a counter seating area for dining. The livIng room has a large screen TV with a DVD, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, full bath and a sitting area with TV. A second bedroom has twin beds and it’s own full bath with shower and separate door to the outside.
The large back porch overlooks a huge fenced in yard overlooking Lake Franklin and is a great place to relax in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee or have a cocktail in the afternoon. The house is shaded by large oak trees that keep the house cool and comfy. A washer and dryer is also available for your use.
Lake Franklin is a private lake and a Great Lake to fish or canoe or kayak in. I don’t have kayaks at this time but feel free to bring your own.
We love pets that are well behaved and house trained and charge 25$ per pet per stay.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board. Limited housekeeping is available.

This charming home is located on a beautiful lake with lots of oak trees and Spanish moss. Jamiee’s Gardens are beautiful! You can tell she puts a lot of love and hard work into her yard. The bird feeders brought all kinds of colorful songbirds to visit. My grandson loved watching them. The house was clean OK and cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The location was so convenient to Down town Mt Dora! thank you, Jamiee for having us, we hope to come back next December and see the Holiday lights again!

We did not realize this property was a duplex. There was no privacy outside the home. Also, there was dog feces in the yard even though the owner had a note on the fridge to pick up after your pet. Also, there was NO mention of the 35 degree incline walking to downtown.

We had a great stay! Great host, house was as described. Clean, comfortable beds, nicely equipped kitchen and a good amount of space for 4. Yard and landscaping is very nice, as is the screened porch.

The place was amazing. Quite, CLEAN, CLEAN did I say CLEAN, even the light switches where clean. The back yard is like a bird-butterfly sanctuary overlooking a lake. Property is like a garden. The owner Jamie who lives on the property (the house is like a duplex, the half you rent is completely private from the owners) is very accommodating and nice. You share the back yard but that was not issue not even with our dog. The area is well kept and quite. Mt. Dora is old Florida town, very nice. I haven't one negative thing to stay!!

First of all, Jaime is an awesome host. This is our second time staying here. It is located in a quiet area. The place is always so clean and welcoming. We had a very relaxing time. We really liked sitting at the dining room table while eating breakfast and watching the many different birds.

Mt. Dora Stay for a Family Wedding

My husband, my sister and I agree - your place is above outstanding! The pleasure of sitting on the porch, enjoying the birds as they came to the feeders, relaxing in the serene setting was outstanding. Inside was perfectly decorated and comfortable, everything looked new and well kept, very comfortable beds and linens, fully equipped kitchen - each touch was beautifully coordinated. This was the most carefully decorated and comfortable of any rental we have experienced, with the most appealing porch view. Location is outstanding, easy to reach local destinations. Mt. Dora is a visitors’ delight. The Host’s communications were outstanding - clear, helpful and complete. We could not be more pleased! The Woods

Loved all the birds in the morning and early evening with all the bird feeders. Porch is so comfy and peaceful. Taxi into town was fun. Very clean, bed comfy. Only complaint wish there was a small TV in the other bedroom. Jamiee was very responsive.

A Nice Surprise

Property was located walking distance from Downtown Mt. Dora. We stayed during that weekend's Arts & Crafts Festival along with wonderful weather. The unit is located conveniently behind the main one. It was spacious with two nice sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, comfortable kitchen and a screened porch with a beautiful view. Understandably and due to Hurricane Milton, the backyard was semi-wet limiting its walking area, but it maintained its beauty giving you a glimpse of what to look forward to during our next stay. The kitchen was graciously stocked well with a variety of tools and supplies for any cook to survive with. Beds were tidy with clean sheets and clean towels. The only complaint I had was that the back bedroom with twin beds did not get cooled enough, but we overcame. Thank you, we look forward to doing it again.

Quiet, convenient and lovely

This well equipped 2 bedroom ground floor apartment included a lovely screened back patio opening onto a garden full of bird feeders and beautifully maintained. We were walking distance to a vibrant downtown area, with historic buildings, interesting shops, many wonderful restaurants and a lovely lake shore park. We had a wonderful time in Mt Dors

Relaxing lake stat

We had a great stay. The unit is attached to the owners home but we had plenty of privacy! The home was clean and beds were comfortable. The bird feeders brought constant birds into the serene back yard. My fiance enjoyed his time on the lake. He went out every single day and caught over 60 fish during our stay. This was the perfect location to mount Dora and the owner was responsive and helpful.
