We got what we expected based on the price. The hotel could use updates, but it was generally clean. The staff was nice and available 24/7. The WiFi was spotty. Overall, it is an okay place to stay that is conveniently located between the stadium and city center.

Very Reasonable Mid-Range Hotel in Le Havre

Hotel Residence La Fregate proved to be a good choice for a mid-range hotel. It is conveniently located within a 10 minute all of tram lines and the main bus and train stations. Our room was quiet, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. The price was very reasonable, and the wifi worked well enough. We used the hotels' free parking but didn't have breakfast at the hotel.

Unusual but ok

Odd hotel but seems to fit in with others in the area.close to ferry port so a bit lacking character but clean friendly etc so no complaints for a one night stop but would not really want to spend a week there but in fairness I think that is what the hotel is for.

Like others we had a problem with the McDonald's drive through which is situated right outside the hotel in front , it was hot and we needed the windows open,very noisy!

Convenient hotel in Le Havre.

Stayed in Le Havre for 2 nights. The hotel is nearby a fairly busy road (4 lanes) going through town / seafront. The noise insulation was good as we couldn't hear any noise. It has its own car park which is connected to the Mc Donalds' car park. On the other side of the 4 lanes road, there is a great shopping mall "the Docks". It is very close to the Ferry, about 5 min drive. Also close to the train station, 5 min walk. The room is good and clean but could be better. I am not a big fan of shower curtains in hotels. The free default internet wifi is slow and you need to register to it everytime you need to use internet.

The hotel is located at a good location, easy to find with its own car park. McDonald is just next to the hotel should there is problem looking for restaurants. When we arrived the city was a bit dead, it was difficult for us to find restaurants to have dinner. The port area looked nice.

Good point to travel around zone

easy to rich several villages near Le Havre. It is only 30 miles of Etretat. The route is very good.
