The home was at least as nice as it appears in the photos; better really. One of the nicest VRBOs I've ever stayed.

A beautiful house in a beautiful and peaceful setting, and we enjoyed our stay overall. The only downside is how cold it is, even with all the heaters running full blast (late October), so if you stay in the colder months be sure to pack your woolies!

Relaxing Retreat

We had a wonderful stay. It's a relatively small home, but it had everything we needed and we loved all of the artwork. We watched the eagles fly by and had deer come to visit. It's just a short walk into the town of Langley but feels like your away from everything.

Beautiful view and garden!

Comfortable bed with soft good quality sheets. Amazing view from upstairs and down. It was quiet yet minutes from Langley, which was a lovely town. The little driveway to the cottage was gorgeous. Made me think of Snow White. I even saw a baby deer!

Wonderful hosts, beautiful house

Heron Rock Cottage is gorgeous. It is immaculately curated set of art, books, and nice touches like a beautiful set of unique mugs. It really feels like you are in an art museum after hours so you can explore everything freely. The bed is very comfortable and there are cozy blankets available. Whidbey had lots of fun art, tasty food and drinks, and very friendly and welcoming people. In addition, the hosts were very flexible with our booking and bent over backwards to make sure we could have a nice stay. Thank you!

Short stay

Lovely property. Well decorated very clean and convenient. Second bedroom was somewhat misleading. Fortunately there were just the two of us in one bedroom. The property is not designed for older people with lots of steps and slippery carpets. The directions were excellent extremely thorough and easy to understand. It was a lovely place, thank you.

There was a beautiful array of paintings, prints, ceramics and sculptures inside the home. The fireplace was so cozy and warm in the evening and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed for preparing meals. I highly recommend this property.

The location is very quiet with wonderful views to a beautiful garden and the water beyond. Downtown Langley is minutes away by car. Well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and cook dinner. We loved all the personal touches, like the abundant art and books. The architecture is so cool, too. It was so much fun to stay in clearly a well-loved and well-maintained place. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

A beautifully built small house. Full of interesting artwork. Peaceful, and quiet. Nestled in the trees. Partial water views of the Sound from downstairs, full view from the main bedroom upstairs. Great patio on which to eat breakfast in the morning, chill on during the day, enjoy a nice dinner on in the evening.On the edge of Langley and a great home base to explore Whidbey Island from. And Whidbey is SO easy to get to from the Seattle area. Fort Casey, Ebey's Landing, Coupeville, parks, beaches, Deception Pass at the northern tip.I will 100% be staying there again!

Great home and location

Excellent hosts and the house is amazing. It was very comfortable! Loved the gas fireplace and the kitchen. Winter was amazing with the snow, but the outdoor spaces would be wonderful in the summer as well.

Comfortable and Cozy Cottage

This is a very comfortable and private cottage located on a lovely property close to downtown Langley. The property management company is excellent with their communication and is available and responsive. The only bathroom is downstairs and this was advertised in the listing. This only was an inconvenience because my husband has Parkinson’s, for most people this should not be an issue. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio and also appreciated the quiet and peaceful property. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend this property

Heron Rook Cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, albeit too short. Charming and cozy cottage with so many interesting artifacts and beautiful artwork. Lovely backyard gardens/deck. Cottage has everything you need from a well-equipped kitchen; comfortable bed; washer/dryer, along with strong and consistent Wi-Fi to support working remote. I could not have asked for a better "office with a view". Located in a quiet, secure neighborhood and close to Langley for restaurants and groceries.

Quiet artists’ cottage overlooking the water

Everything about this property was stunning: decorated with dozens of fascinating works of art, set among majestic trees and lush gardens, and overlooking peaceful Saratoga Passage and Camano Island, the cottage was a wonderful, restful place to refresh the spirit.

Awesome little cabin on the bay!

Small little cabin but still accommodates 4 pretty well. This cabin is right on the bay so very nice to here the waves all night and see the seals poke their heads out! Would recommend and would stay again.
