The property owner was very friendly and helpful. The property was beautiful and exactly like you see in the pictures. Four main things that are not communicated in the listing that may be important to you are there’s no high-speed Internet in the room, only in the lodge from a mobile hotspot that has to be turned on manually by the owner (so not available most of the time), there’s no heat in the room, and although the water is hot, the water pressure is worse than an RV shower. And because since the government regulates these properties, they can only have a small battery inverter to supply just enough electricity to run a few lightbulbs and a phone charger. So look at the temperature at night when you’re going to be there because that’s how cold it’s going to be in your room.. So if you understand all that, it can be a great place because the room and location are really beautiful.

Being on this floating island was like stepping into another magical world. The food was great the views were spectacular and the staff was so warm and friendly. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend as a way to get off the grid and have an amazing lake titicaca experience

Amazing stay on Lake Titicaca!

We stayed with Pablo and Julia on their floating island for part of our honeymoon. They were both so polite and welcoming! Julia was not only an amazing cook but also made you feel welcome and at home. Pable took us out to explore the Uros community on his boat and showed us the ways of the Uros people. It was truly an amazing experience and we highly recommend it! Thank you, Pablo and Julia!

Staying here isn’t just about wonderful views. This is the home of a local family. They share their way of life and folklore. It was a fascinating insight. The family are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I feel very privileged to have spent time with them.

The Uros Lodge is a small island set among marshland on Lake Titicaca. It is the home of Pablo and Julia, a lovely and welcoming couple. It is also extraordinary. The island, the buildings on it, and the boat that Pablo takes you around in are made entirely of the reeds surrounding the property. It is an engineering feat born of centuries of tradition. Just getting there is a marvel. Pablo picks you up at a small launch outside of Puno in an outboard and you proceed through beautiful wetlands that slowly give way to the lake as you near their island. Your room has a million-dollar view of the ever-changing color of the water, clouds and sky. And then the stars. When the wind comes up, as it did during our stay, the reeds undulate beneath you and, while a bit daunting at first, it’s a cool sensation—especially after Pablo tells you the island’s anchored to the lake floor and you’re not about to drift away. So you get on the hammock he set up and literally go with the flow. They have beautiful tapestries of their family history that also speaks to Aymara cosmology. It is truly a wonderful place. If you want to immerse yourself in a special part of Andean culture and in a place that is charming, this is a great place to be.

This island is so wonderful! The lodging is comfortable and well maintained, the food is delicious, the hosts are fantastic! I also love the cat, TiTi! This island is separate from the other touristy area of islands, and I loved that. It is so beautiful and peaceful.

Amazing place.

Easily the best part of my wife and I's trip to Lake Titicaca. We stayed with Pablo and Julia and they were incredible. They are very friendly and smiley and explained some of the ways of Uros life to us. The food was wonderful and the amenities far exceeded what I thought they would be able to make on the floating islands. This really made our trip and I can't recommend it enough.

Adorable retreat

This place is perfect to disconnect from the outside world and just relax and do absolutely nothing. The hosts are so wonderful and accommodating. Totally recommend staying here.

Can't decide which to book then read this

Pablo and Julia could not have made us more welcome. The room is lovely and the island so tranquil. Please understand this is an eco lodge on a floating island so amenities are simple though excellently executed by the owners. We were staying with them on their island yet they were so helpful and welcoming it almost felt like we had our own private island with staff. We can not recommend this place highly enough we had the best few days and have memories that will stay with us forever, from the amazing boat ride to the island under a starry sky, the tour Pablo gave us of the community via boat and the Great food cooked by Julia and served by Pablo. The nights are cold but with the huge amount of blankets on the comfy king-size bed meant we were never cold. If you're thinking where to book then please choose here, it's so tranquil, welcoming and truly awesone where as most of the floating islands are all next to each other and much more touristic than this more remote and amazing island

Nous avons passé une nuit merveilleuse! Le transfert vers le logement s’est fait dans les meilleures conditions. Pablo et Julia nous ont acceulli chez eux et nous ont fait sentir chez nous. Eloignés de la communauté (beaucoup plus touristique) nous avons pu profiter du calme de l’ile. Nous y reviendrons!
