Arrived Jan 1 was informed to park across from Cabin the entire driveway and parking spot were not plowed, car got stuck. Note that they do not plow this property or shovel access or steps to cabin so use caution. We had to park near street and walk on snow covered black ice to get to the cabin holding onto each other to prevent from slip and fall. Also no hot water made for an extremely short cold shower. Also shower was gross dead bugs on the wall and bottom of tub filthy. Beds in cedar cabin slope down towards the window so was unusual sleeping position. Apparently no one is on site. I have pictures if anyone is interested. Very disappointing as my wife always wanted to stay in a cabin

Our family had an amazing stay. The place was spotless and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The cabin was warm and the fireplace gave it a nice rustic touch.

The cabin was clean and neat. It does need some updating. It is under new ownership and they are hoping to do that. Beds were comfortable. We only stayed overnight so it was fine for our needs . It was easy to reach owners by text with any questions we had and they were very prompt in returning texts . They were pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay
We found the cabin to be clean and the beds comfortable. The communication from the owners was excellent and the keys were right where they said that they would be. There was a nice looking fireplace, but we could not take advantage of it as we did not bring anything to start a fire. But it is a nice amenity to have. A couple of improvements that we would suggest:
Better outdoor lighting. What is there is adequate but could be improved.
Maybe provide signage to let folks know where to park? We were there in dark, rainy conditions and had difficulty figuring out what they meant by "parking is across the way by the trees". Which trees?
And 2 reading lamps by the beds would be nice.
That said we would have no problem staying there again or recommending this property to anyone traveling in the area.
The cabin was clean but very dated. It was orderly and adequate. The property generally seemed to be in a state of disrepair but no real problems. The image shows an active well lit property, it was not, the main building seemed to be abandoned. We did enjoy our stay.
The cabins were very run down and the place didn’t look like anything had been done with it in over a year. The pics on line did not look like this place. I would expect a whole lot better for 250.00. The place looked abandoned.
The stay was excellent and perfect.
The owner is very good and communicates very well. The place was very clean and in excellent condition.
Checkin and checkout was easy.
Loved the ambiance of the place.
Highly recommended.

When we came it was over 80 degrees in the room at 10pm. We didn't dream to check if it had air conditioning. I called the manager and he said there was usually a fan but that none were available. The room stifling. We left 10 minutes later.
We have booked through Expedia many times and have never had this experience before. This was not acceptable.

Not sure how the Wilderness Inn cabins receive such high ratings, other than the price was very reasonable. I have stayed at other locations in the Wilmington area during my spring and fall fishing trips over the past twenty years, but this was the first time I stayed at a Wilderness Inn cabin (Norway). I decided to book a quick, last minute, one night trip and found the Wilderness Inn to have the best price through Expedia. After the initial booking contact I found additional communications to be somewhat lacking, but it did not prevent me from getting into my cabin upon arrival. I found the access driveway into the cabin to be a rough, unimproved dirt road and was glad it wasn’t raining, as that drive could have become a muddy mess. As for the cabin itself, I found it to be cozy and reasonably clean, with comfortable beds and a roomy bathroom with tub/shower with plenty of towels and hot water provided by an on-demand tankless water heater. The in-cabin wood burning fireplace would be awesome in cooler weather. Be advised that there is virtually no closet space, which was not a problem for a one night stay for one person, but could be an issue for longer stays with more people. In room amenities included a TV, microwave and coffee maker, but be advised the microwave is very small.
During my stay in mid-May I found no restaurants in the area open. Evidently everything is closed until the Memorial Day weekend.
In summary, would I stay there again? Yes!
It was a wonderful relaxing stay. We would like to return in the fall.

Definitely NOT 9.4
Booked this property based on the cabin feel concept, separate bedroom floor plan, and the 9.4 hotels.com rating. I don't know how the average rating of this property can be 9.4. It is nowhere close. We checked in to sub 10° outdoor temps. Inside was the same. Heat not working. Fireplace borderline unsafe with a broken flue damper stuck in open position. So no heat there either. Owner Yann put us in the "cabin" next door. I use quotes, because it was a 70s vintage mobile home that looked as though nothing had been done to it since it was built and rolled onto the property. At least here was heat. For the competitive price charged, it was most certainly NOT competitive quality. As long as you're aware of the considerable lack of upkeep and maintenance to make your choice wisely. I could go on, but everyone deserves to make a living. Just know what you're renting.
