Magical Farm House

The perfect little modern farmhouse! 10 minutes from Festival International, but felt like a fairytale. We couldn't have asked for more! Amazing secluded spot in a residential neighborhood. The best of a central location while feeling miles away. Host was attentive and kind.

Lovely spacious quiet house on huge lot!

Beautiful house very nicely done inside with lovely finishes and plenty of space. The master does not have an attached bathroom but it is not a big deal the bathroom is close and well done so totally worth it. The kitchen is lovely with great appliances and a huge island and the wi-fi works great. The TV does not have cable or satellite just streaming but it works great and we just logged in to our own accounts. The lot is huge with large beautiful trees, plenty of parking, very quiet at the end of a cul-de-sac, and yet right in town and close to groceries, restaurants, and gasoline. We would definitely stay here again! And the host Guy is awesome.

Weekend stay

We stayed here for my son's soccer tournament and loved the house and surrounding acreage. Even though the house only has two bedrooms, all the rooms are huge with tons of space throughout the house. We brought our twin toddlers and put pack-n-plays in the dining room with my son and his cousin upstairs. Plan on staying here in the future for a more extended stay/vacation, great for families with young kids given the space and outdoor play yard.

Loved our stay!

What a beautiful farm house! Quiet location, felt like we were out in our own oasis but still close to the conveniences of the city! The beds were a perfect blend of soft but supportive and plenty of pillows! Great space inside and out! Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved all the design details inside and out! Host was very responsive too!

Serenity

Last minute trip to Louisiana left us searching for suitable accommodations. This place was amazing in every way! The only challenge is that bathrooms and bedrooms are upstairs. If mobility is an issue for your or your guests, just be aware that climbing stairs is necessary. Every detail about this place is well-planned and it has far more amenities than you can imagine!

Amazing!

My stay at Fair Oaks Farmhouse was wonderful. The home and property were beautiful, charming, and relaxing. Definitely a hidden gem in the middle of town. I went there to retreat for a few days but there is plenty of space, inside and out, for a larger group. Loved it and will be back.

Billing issues and preparedness

I was disappointed with the lack of transparency over billing. Originally booked for 7 nights and then modified within time to 3 nights. VRBO sent receipt showing the rental cost/cleaning/service charges did not change from the original booking even though duration much reduced. Then there was a refund, without showing how this was calculated, from the homeowner. I suspect I was overcharged. The house was not available at check-in time as the cleaning had not been completed. No toilet on ground floor. Loose bricks at main door entrance. First bathroom had two sinks nether plugs worked correctly. Very large bedrooms with no furniture. All in all cannot recommend.

Great stay!

Our family of 5 stayed here while in town for a soccer tournament. The house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space, super clean, private setting. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. Guy was easy to work with and responded quickly.

Gorgeous!

A hidden gem! In town by quiet. Clean, comfortable and beautiful. I would definitely recommend Fair Oaks to anyone. We enjoyed our mornings with coffee and our evenings with relaxing comfort. So glad we found it!

Beautiful home

Great stay. Location was perfect. right in the middle of town but in the middle of almost 5 acres also. Home has so much natural light and has lots of room. Really enjoyed our week.

What a great retreat while still being central!

We loved this house. It felt so remote with the land around it but was actually so central to everything. The space looks both classic and yet also brand new. Everything was spotless and we loved the house design. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely gorgeous property!

We were in town for our annual district 4-H show. The house is right around the corner from Blackham Colesium which made it so convenient. We loved being secluded right in the heart of the city. We absolutely loved the house! Everything about it is amazing. The old doors and hardware, the shiplap walls and ceilings, the clawfoot tub, the walk in shower and all the windows that let the natural light in. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your treasure with us!
