We expected that a "studio" would be small but would still include all the amenities necessary for day to day living. This property is too small for day to day living. There is no area for any kind of food preparation beyond what one would find in a nice hotel. A toaster, for example, would have been nice as well as some sort of stove top and/or oven. I would have appreciated a better understanding of what to expect. We were given some critical information about restrictions way too late in the process--only two pets when we were there expressly for the prestigious Indio dog show. Our Russell Terriers are top of the line show dogs. We only had two with us, but we commonly have three or four entered.
Having outlined our criticisms, we nonetheless loved our week in LaQuinta. The property is beautiful and immaculate, and the setting is downright stunning. We would certainly consider returning but for a return visit we would know what to expect and be better prepared to sustain ourselves for a full week stay.
