It was lovely to stay in a French chateau in the Loire Valley. Chateau de L'Aubriere is a characterful and lovingly restored building and as such is naturally a bit quirky. Our room was a little small for the price, although the bathroom and shower were amazing. Be aware if you have mobility problems that if you are on the second floor, there are a lot of stairs. It was great to swim in the pool although it could have been a little cleaner. The breakfast area is cramped but I understand that it is sometimes difficult to repurpose old spaces to modern uses. The staff were lovely, and overall I would definitely recommend a stay.

Wir haben einen Zwischenstopp in diesem traumhaft schönen Chateau eingelegt und waren von Haus, Personal und Umgebung mehr als begeistert. Einer unserer Hunde wurde nachts krank und es wurde umgehend ein Termin in der nahegelegenen Tierklinik für uns vereinbart. Toller Service und absolut zu empfehlen!!!

We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay in a French château. The facilities and equipment are old, but since the plumbing and other essentials have been properly renovated, that part was reassuring. Overall, however, it does feel rather dated, and if you are accustomed to modern-style hotels, you might find it a bit unsatisfying in terms of comfort. Having air conditioning was a great relief, especially since we stayed in the summer. That said, the experience of staying in a French château itself has great value. We were able to see horses, chickens, and dogs freely roaming around, and for those who want to fully enjoy nature, I can certainly recommend it.

Mon séjour réservé avec petit déjeuner. Arrivé à l’hôtel, on me demande si je mange dîne super place. Je réserve ma place à 19h30. Au restaurant ke découvre le menu à 46€ sur indication de prix de u chois sur les entrées, plats, desserts. Je demande 12€ les entrées, 28 les plats 12€les desserts. Sans avoir eu la possibilité de connaître les tarifs avant je laisse ma table et je décide de dîner à l’extérieur avec la contrainte de reprendre ma voiture et de faire des kilomètres.
