The hotel is superb la!!! 1. Parking very convenient next door 2. Location 100/100 to be next to Kyoto Tower, rented our Kimono there and walkable to beautiful temple and places! 3. The onsen is good too, I particularly like the one with ice neck rest, 10-20mins only. 4. BREAKFAST is the highest standard for Japanese breakfast! Has Sashimi and all options! 5. Evening supper 9-11pm Ramen is good too, hearty Not so good part: abit tooooo crowded and packed and touristy, and the shoe area can stink quite abit tbh..

This hotel environment has a strong, traditional Japanese aesthetic. The staff is very friendly and do their best to accommodate your needs. The rooms are simple, clean, and traditional. The price is reasonable. During my stay, it included a full delicious Japanese and Western breakfast buffet. ( Be in line for breakfast before 7:30am to avoid the crowds). Some complimentary amenities included: an evening snack of pork ramen, free water, free ice cream pops, free use of a clothes washer, and the use of several hot springs. The hot springs were way too hot for me. I found the meditation pool to be relaxing and just the right temperature. Also, the white silky pool is nice. I happen to chat with a woman from the United States and a lady from France while relaxing in the warm and cozy pool. There are lots of international tourists staying at this hotel, so a smile and lots of patience goes a long way. When I was visiting, there were lots of families with children. This hotel was a delightful oasis among the urban buildings in downtown Kyoto. It was close and convenient walk from the train station. I recommend a three-night's stay. I saw other people staying for one night and that's not enough to take in the traditional Japanese onsen vibe and the excellent service and delicious food provided by this hotel.
