We utilized this hotel as our base in the Kansai area. It is sooo convenient to Kyoto station. Plus, it's a super short walk to Higashi Honganji, which is also worth a visit. The staff were friendly and the room (we had a Japanese style room for 5 people) worked great for us. If you are visiting Kyoto area, this is definitely a place I'd recommend. There are also several nice coffee shops within walking distance-- we enjoyed the coffee culture in Kyoto. Of course, most importantly is the proximity to everything in the area.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in a little early, and also watched our luggage after checkout so we could walk around a bit more. Spacious, clean, and quiet rooms. Would definitely stay again.

It’s about 10 minutes away from Kyoto Station so it’s quite convenient to walk around in the city and there’s a lot of convenient shop nearby! The staff are friendly and speak quite fluent English so communication may not be a problem here. All the instruction on the laundry and toilet usage have English translation which are very useful for tourist ! Definitely worth every penny !

Nice. Quiet. Clean. Small kitchen in room. Staff helped when asked. Convenience store, brewery, coffee shops, garden, temple, and small shops all within two minutes walk. Kyoto station and k line subway about 6 minutes walk. Access to Kyoto Station makes every town accessible for one day trips. Might do bunk bed room to free up floor space if I did it again, but would definitely use Irori Kyoto Station again.

I recommend Irori!

This place was easy to find using Google maps. Small, clean and cute apartment/room. I had a washer in my room, which was extremely helpful. The staff was friendly. Extra notes: Irori was relatively close to restaurants/shops by walking. I rented a bike nearby which was ideal and did a free walking tour to get acquainted with Kyoto. I recommend Irori when visiting Kyoto.

Our stay was really fantastic. The location in Kyoto was very convenient, and the room comfortable. We stayed in a room with four bed bunks and found them totally comfortable and nice little nooks for relaxing. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!

Simple and functional

I love Irori. The location is few minutes away from Kyoto Station. Walkable if there is no cab available. The room is clean and is functional. I love the simple interiors and the charging dock near the beds. The traditional windows are cool too. You can leave your luggage and the reception is very accommodating. I would definitely stay again here next time.

The room was relatively big for Japan standards. The washing machine provided was a big plus and instructions in English were also given on how to use the machine. However, the property was located about 15 minutes walk from the train station, which is quite far if lugging luggage along.
