25 km north of Kuusamo, lake Rukajärvi, small, comfortable log cottage, built 2012. Vuosseli (Eastern Ruka) 5.5 km, Ruka village (Western Ruka, Central Square) 6 km, Lake Rukajärvi 40 m, deep rock bottom beach. Wood heated sauna, the lower bed (120 cm),the upper bed (80 cm). Small kitchen/living room. Small log cottage situated by Lake Rukajärvi.

Additional equipment: Rowing boat.

Other distances: Oulanka National Park / Pieni Karhunkierros Trail 28km, Riisitunturi Fell 34km, Spa Kuusamon Tropiikki 23 km.

Exactly what we wanted and needed

Spent a week cooking sausages and waking naked between the sauna and the lake. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. So quiet. So peaceful. Wonderful and friendly relatives of the property owner nearby. Would stay here again and again. (There were a lot of misquotes, but some repellant supplies were on site that helped.)
