Amazing hotel, perfectly located and amazing view!

Our stay at the Magma was amazing! I never even imagined to find such a great hotel at that prize! The place is perfect, not to far from Reykjavík and just a short drive from Jökulsárlón so it made our weekend away just perfect! The staff was super welcoming, the food was incredible and WOW the room! It was amazing! I really love this simple style and the view to the lagoon, nothing better that waking up at a place like this. I really can not say anything bad about this hotel even if I tried, I recommend it to everyone!

Hotel con mucho encanto en un entorno único

El hotel es una pasada, original, en un entorno único y muy confortable. Pasamos una noche y cogimos dos habitaciones cuádruples que eran como dos bungalows con 4 camas individuales. La habitación tenía entre otras cosas, radio bluetooth (de estilo vintage), televisión con Netflix y en el baño había seca toallas lo cual por otro lado es normal en Islandia por otros hoteles donde nos hospedamos. La decoración era muy de estilo nórdico, acogedor y minimalista a la vez. El desayuno fue bueno pero la sala era pequeña o todos coincidimos a la misma hora porque no había sitio al llegar para nuestro grupo de 8.Las vistas con una pequeña terraza que daban a lago eran fabulosas. El precio de la habitación es elevado pero para una noche lo recomendaría sin dudarlo!!

There was nothing about this property that we did not like. From the quiet location, to the quality of the food at dinner and breakfast, to the cleanliness and amenities of the room, to the views outside our window and our own patio area of the immediate countryside and beyond. Our stay was truly wonderful and we were only sorry it was for one night as we were on a tour of the ring road. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Absolutely loved it.

The Magma Hotel was very nice and in a great location, however, I feel like it wasn't a great value for my money comparable to the other places I stayed during our time in Iceland. Additionally, their website lists laundry service yet it doesn't exist. This amenity is one of the main reasons i selected this hotel so it was disappointing to discover that it was no longer available. All that being said, the staff were all quite friendly the view from oir cottage over the pond was wonderful!

This hotel is everything you want, good room, excellent shower pressure, beautiful views, good breakfast, excellent WiFi, parking right in front. I cannot recommend a hotel more than the Magma Hotel.

Best stay ever!!!!

So incredibly comfortable and peaceful. Beautiful view. They thought of every possible comfort in the room including heated floors, our own water heater. They started breakfast early for us because we had a morning tour. We even forgot drinks in the frig, went back in the afternoon and they saved them for us. Incredible customer service.

We loved our stay at the Magma Hotel. It was serene and made us feel like we were truly experiencing the calm of Iceland. The cabins are a good size with stunning views, the beds were super comfy, and they provide binoculars which we loved since there were so many unique birds in the pond we overlooked! The staff was very welcoming and helpful which was reassuring since the location is decently far from a city/town (Kirkjubaejarklaustur has a small grocery store but the hours are a bit limited and it's the only town for miles). Having breakfast included is a luxury and was very convenient before starting our long days of exploring. There were a lot of different options. The location is also convenient as it allows you to be an hour closer to Vatnajokull National Park than Vik. We would definitely stay here again!
