We absolutely loved our stay at The Crossing B&B. After a nightmare experience at another nearby property that we left early, arriving here felt instantly warm, welcoming, and genuinely comforting — even without a traditional reception or on-site staff. The self check-in was seamless, and we loved the charm of the individually named rooms. The cozy sitting room was perfect for relaxing, and the location is excellent: directly across from the ScotRail station and a short walk to High Street restaurants and the Duke of Gordon Hotel pub. We stayed in a dog-friendly ground-floor room with a private outdoor entrance overlooking the Gynack Burn, a tributary of the River Spey. Thoughtful touches really stood out: triple-chocolate cookies for us, and treats, waste bags, and extra towels for our dog. The room was spacious and well equipped, with a wardrobe, luggage rack, and desk. We loved the Highland Soap Company products and the lemongrass and ginger scent throughout the common areas. The shower had the hottest water we experienced in the Cairngorms, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. When we needed help with the radiator and towel warmer, it was resolved immediately. Overall, The Crossing exceeded our expectations and was a highlight of our time in Kingussie — we’d happily return and highly recommend it.

Outstanding establishment, great location and supper smart. Hosts excellent and clearly care about their guests experience. Lovely lounge with tables and fridge/microwave, plates etc if you want to eat in ( range of take away nearby). Super dining room for the excellent breakfast. We will be back!

Amazing place to stay. Check in and check out we’re contactless, but the staff was easy to get ahold of and very responsive to texts. We would definitely stay here again. The town was lovely and everything was within walking distance of The Crossing.

Cute B&B. Tiny room with no storage space with 3 of us in there and a super weird/dark bathroom. Nice breakfast for additional charge. Cute town to walk around.

We enjoyed our stay at The Crossing. The breakfast was very good. The one thing I was surprised about was that our breakfast was not included with our room fee. We stayed at so many different places that I guess I just didn't check to see. But, we were a bit taken aback when after eating breakfast we were asked to settle the bill for it.

Comfy Stay in the Cairngorms

My friend and I stayed at The Crossing for a girls weekends of hiking and walks in the Cairngorms. The Crossing was a great choice. Our room with two single beds was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very much to our liking. The bathroom was great as well - lovely Highlands soap, lotion, shower gel, and shampoo/conditioner, plus the water pressure and temperature were fantastic after a day of hiking. We loved the extra touches of a kettle and Tassimo machine in the room along with tea bags and coffee pods. The welcome cookies were delicious - our sweet tooth wanted them every day of our stay! Would stay here again!

Hard to rate when there is no human contact. However we found remote check in easy and the room was clean. It may be worth asking guests with large transit vans with trailers of canoes to park elsewhere as we couldn’t use the hotel xar park

Place was nice; room exactly as advertised. Absence of any staff on site was a bit strange but not an issue to us as there were no problems with our stay. Kingussie on a Monday evening in August had very very limited options for dinner.
