Great Stay Return after 8 years

Lovely hotel in tranquil and serene surroundings. This is a quaint and charming venue. It has a boho type vibe which we loved . We first stayed here 8 years and staying here again was as adorable if not more ! The rooms are clean and adequate, excellent touch to have fridge and air conditioning works very well . Showers are great , and balconies make a lovely addition . Breakfasts are always fresh, healthy and adequate. The hosts will cook eggs to your liking, just ask . The home made jams are very tasty, my favourite was the orange! The hosts are helpful and interested in making the stay comfortable and enjoyable . There is a personal touch and they will go out of their way to accommodate their guests.

A relaxing stay, near to many interesting things

Wonderfully prepared fresh meals each night. The owners were super kind. Suggestions for locations to visit and arrangements for horseback riding were very helpful. Gemelis is a laid-back, relaxing town nicely situated for exploring nearby beaches and ruins.

Warm and welcoming

Very warm and welcoming little pad in patara. The village is quiet but has everything you need as a base for your trip. The pension is simple but runs very efficiently with everything you'll need; comfy room, great food, pool and nice hosts full of info for your stay. Relaxed breakfast and meal times . One day we just stayed by the pool and it was lovely!

Wonderful and welcoming pension!

Incredibly welcoming hosts in a very clean, comfortable and well-equipped pension. The new pool is a pleasure to use on a hot day. It is in a great location, a short walk to the bars and other shops in Patara and a short drive to the ruins and the beach. The food here is OUTSTANDING. Honestly, the most delicious meal we ate in Turkey!

A traditional Turkish Pension experience

What a wonderful traditional Turkish Pension. Clean, simple and wonderfully welcoming hosts. Kazim, and his wife Aisha, could not do enough for us. The breakasts were great and the suppers were superb - definately the best Turkish suppers we've had on our trip. Patara is a village, so it is a quiet, peaceful stay. The rooms are good with the traditional pension bathroom where the shower is not seperated. The Patara ruins are a 15 minute walk away and the beach 25 minutes. Kazim is happy to drive you if you choose not to walk the 2 km to the beach. We are happy we stayed at Akay Pension.

AKAY IS GREAT!

Akay pension is run by the friendliest family we have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for Kazim, who was full of suggestions of what to see and do. He also organised transfer to and from the airport at a good rate. Would highly recommend walks along the Lycian Way. Ayse's cooking is the best in Turkey.
