Welcome to Mango Cottage

PLEASE NOTE: Listed rates are based on two guests. An additional $40/nt per guest will be added. Please enclose the total number of guest when booking (including children)... Mango Cottage is an original beach house located at the private and quiet end of Puako Beach Dr. The Cottage is a minute walk to the Paniau beach access which is a well known and popular beach for snorkeling. Recent renovations give the Cottage all the modern amenities, while maintaining the relaxed and tranquil feeling of an earlier era. There is one bedroom which includes the outdoor shower, one bathroom with indoor shower, and an extra full size bed in the alcove off the living area. The Cottage shares the property with Mango Hale (vrbo#67917) and can be rented together for larger groups and families. The property is surrounded by a lush lawn, mango and coconut trees, which provide a cool and comfortable environment. The vaulted ceiling and open gable end design allows the breezes to fill the room.The bedroom includes a queen size bed and split duct air conditioning.
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and a coffee maker.

The beach was very close by and so easy to get to. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. It was adorable inside and out. It was in a private area with a beautiful view of the mountains from our road and a sandy beach nearby. We will def be returning.

Mango Cottage stay

This was such an excellent place to stay. Location on Puako Rd is a great part of island and super access to snorkeling and shoreline. The Mango Cottage had very nice quality amenities and Rick was so kind and helpful at every turn. I am for sure hoping to plan another trip back to stay at this property. I thought it was a very good value for all of the amenities and location.

We enjoyed exploring the area from the Mango Cottage. The surrounding area is just stunning! Great snorkeling right across the street. Terrific little gem in an idyllic location

My wife and I loved our stay in the Mango Cottage in Puako. Rick was nearby on the property (in the back-house) and he was attentive if we had any requests but respectful of our privacy. We took advantage of the prime location and snorkeled and visited the sea turtles at least once a day. The outdoor shower was great. We look forward to our next visit!

Mango Cottage has everything you need for a beach getaway. We will plan a longer stay here next time we’re on Big Island. We had a nice easy relaxing stay. Plenty of resort amenities are close by if that’s your thing. We prefer a more local style. Mahalo nui loa Scott!

We loved our 10 day stay in Mango Cottage--clean, comfortable with a great outdoor shower perfect for post-snorkel rinsing-off! The cottage is a 2 minute stroll to the shore with fantastic snorkeling just offshore. Owners are friendly, helpful and available if needed. We'll be back!

Relaxing cozy cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing stay at the Mango Cottage. It is steps away from the ocean for great swimming and snorkeling. Cottage was clean and comfortable, and enjoyed the using the outdoor shower. I especially enjoyed the delicious Kona coffee. Great place for a quiet couple's getaway.
