Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Kampot!

This was an amazing stay. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure me and my friend were well looked after. We got some great food recommendations and they were so helpful in organising tours and tuk tuks. Unfortunately my friend fell ill whilst we were there and the staff were so kind and caring. The decor was amazingly done, it was such a stylish and chic place to stay!

The staff at Hotel Old Cinema were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions. Every meal we had was a treat! The breakfast was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of options that were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We stayed in one of the superior king suites, which did not disappoint. The room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a large balcony with an extra daybed that was perfect for relaxing.

An oasis in Kampot

Very friendly and informative staff. All aspects had been thought out. Hotel has a very quirky and fun theme. Helped us arrange a couple of rickshaw trips. Food was great. Hotel clean. And my wife loved the sheets

The staff was excellent. Jilly (sp?) was lovely. She was so helpful and friendly and just such an engaging person . The food was excellent. The 2 cats that live there (Nina and Simone) were very sweet and friendly. The location is great and you can walk to anything you want to see in town. If you want to visit a pepper farm the staff is happy to coordinate for you. The only negative for me is that the beds are super duper firm. I like a soft mattress so it wasn’t comfortable for me, but if you don’t mind a really firm bed, this is the place for you.

When we first arrived at the hotel, we were a bit taken back by the outside appearance, but then when we entered a sanctuary opened up. The free standing facade is a left over from the old cinema, the hotel behind has been completed in 2019. The rooms are clean and cosely furnished, it feels like you are staying with friends. For staff and service i would give 10 stars, they are incredible. Breakfast is a la cart, and they always offer you extras which are not on the menu, best breakfast during our 2 weeks trip in Cambodia!

Outstanding! With one caution.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast! Funky but tasteful decor -- real personality to the hotel. Great location in downtown Kampot. Did booked here for a second night. Would be my first choice again. One caution: the stairs in this building might present an accessibility challenge for older adults or people with injuries. So if you need wheelchair access or strongly prefer an elevator (to travel only one floor), this might not be your best choice. Otherwise, can recommend whole-heartedly and do plan to repeat business here next time I am in Kampot.

Great staff and great restaurant!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything was great except that we did not have hot water for the last two days. We should have mentioned it earlier but we thought it would be fixed but it had not so we mentioned it upon check out and I think they said they would take a look at it. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay. They also have two super cute and friendly kitties that roam around the property! Restaurant had wonderful food too.

Stumbled upon Old Cinema and *so* glad I did. The place is spotless, the atmosphere groovy. Owner Pauline was at the door on arrival — I knew instantly this would be a great stay. She and her staff bent over backwards to ensure our comfort. Nice pool, fun bar, excellent food, central location. Highly recommended!

Beautifully Repurposed and Decorated!

This hotel was beautifully repurposed and decorated in the city center. Rooms are comfortable, tastefully designed and unique. Service is great and the owners are amazing. Would definitely recommend spending a night here when in Kampot!

Beautifully cinematic hotel stay experience.

Great little hotel conveniently located in, the restaurant makes great food, and service is excellent, run by the owners themselves. Decoration is well-done, with excellent attention to detail. Overall great stay, well-worth it.

An oasis in the city. Gorgeous immaculately clean property. Themed in art deco style. Staff is top notch- run by French couple. The breakfast is amazing with French Press coffee!!
