Honua Kai on Kannapali beach is our favorite destination in Maui. The entire resort is beautifully landscaped, effectively staffed, clean, and beautiful. The unit does need a bit of updating to earn my 5 start rating in the way of new carpet(stained), and perhaps a better dishwasher, and a dryer that actually dries clothes. To that point, these are "nits".....there is no way to describe the wonderful experience this unit delivers. We will be back.

Great trip to Maui!

In all, it was a wonderful stay. Honua Kai is a great resort and this room was exactly as described. Fully stocked kitchen made meal prep easy to do and the views from the balcony could not be beat!

We were very satisfied with our stay.Host communication was exceptional.Condo and its locations were perfect with an amazing views. Condo had everything we needed including beach gear.On top of everything we were also alowed to stay longer in our condo for no fee to accommodate our late flight.We will be back.

Well appointed condo all the comforts of home. Lovely grounds. Great pool areas.

We fully enjoyed our stay in Honua Kai condo 441. Lounged alot on the Lanai, great views. The condo had everything you needed. The grounds are well kept and tropical beautiful. Great location. Beach wasn't really usable, high winds our week left little sand area for lounging. The Lanai chairs need cushions and it would be nice to have at least 1 full lounger chair on the Lanai.

We loved every minute of our stay!

The unit was wonderful for our 4 adult, 1 teen group. The unit was well appointed and comfortable. Honua Kai is a beautiful resort I would highly recommend. After our first night we booked a trip for next year.

Perfect in every way!

I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing and easy trip to Maui. We have stayed at Honua Kai before and love the resort. This room was beautiful, clean and stocked with all we needed. We have 4 little kids so it can be hard to find a place that has enough space and all that you need for a vacation. This place was perfect! Barry, Thomas and Steve were all easy to work with, responsed quickly and made themselves available for anything we needed while there. I highly recommend! We will return for sure!!

Amazing wrap around Lanai. View of pool, beach and sunsets throughout the living area made the vacation. Being able to prepare food in the full kitchen while enjoying paradise made the trip economical yet luxurious. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths gave our family flexibility. Appliances were louder than expected, but were convenient. Given the opportunity I would book this room again as the value the kitchen offered with the beach proximity was something special for the Ka'anapali area.

Beautiful, well appointed, and comfortable condo.

We have just returned from our 10 day stay at Honua Kai 441. Everything about this condo is exceptional. The furnishings are beautiful AND comfortable, and the kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. It is spacious enough for 2 couples to enjoy without bumping in to each other! Barry and Steven answered our email or call immediately and took care of the 2 minor issues we had promptly. The property is well cared for, the pools are lovely and the view from this wrap around lanai cannot be beat. We enjoyed sunset drinks on the lanai each evening and cooked in the condo 4 of the 10 nights, without any problems. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. You will not be disappointed!

A great place for a family vacation

This was our first family trip to Maui and 441H was perfect for us. A spacious corner unit with awesome views. Every day was started with coffee on the lanai looking at the ocean. The unit was well stocked, ranging from cooking utensils, plates glasses etc to beach chairs and toys. Basically anything you can think of the unit had :). As guests of the owner we are provided wrists bands to enter room, fitness center, and access towels. My feedback would be to add charging meals and gift shop items to the room to avoid needing wallet all the time. I would give 5 stars but for us the beach front is very small so not ideal for our family. we ended up driving over to Black Rock which was 5 minutes away so not a big deal at all.

Paradise!

The room and resort were georgeous. With the pools and beach there was plenty to do but in a relaxing environment. We had no problem finding pool chairs or space on the beach. The room was well equipped with boogie boards, beach toys, beach towels, full kitchen and grilling accessories, etc. There is Safeway grocery store nearby and the resort had several very clean gas grills by the pool and with the great kitchen we were able to make meals in our room when we wanted to. The view from the resort was spectacular as we could see Lanai and Molokai and the great sunsets. The rental process was smooth and the renter was very responsive and helpful. I can't wait to go back!!

Spacious & Relaxing

Hokulani 441 was great for our family of 5. We had the 2nd bedroom set up for 2 twins. The bathroom has separate entrances, which was nice once kids fell asleep. A high chair was provided the week of and the unit had a pack n play in the closet. This is one of a small handful of Honua Kai properties with a wrap-around lanai and windows on south and west sides. Sunsets are most visible from lanai in the Fall/Winter/early Spring months when sun is setting further to south. Unit is near an elevator and features quick access to trash/recycling room. Short walk from ground level parking lot behind tower. Pools are perfect for kids. Max depth is 4 feet and there is also a splash pool that's 1.5 feet deep. Duke's does a pool service for drinks and food. All of the cookware and utensils you need are in the unit. There was even some condiments and spices, which was appreciated. Closet was stocked with beach toys. Lots of activity in the neighborhood... never a dull moment with Westin, Pailolo, etc. right down beach. Gym is located in Konea building and is heavily used in the morning. There are two stores/markets within Honua Kai and the Times Supermarket is one stoplight down. Would recommend.

This unit is perfect! Stunning views and well stocked.

We love staying at Hanua Kai. This was our first time in this particular unit and it was absolutely perfect. This is our favorite location of the building with courtyard, pool and ocean views. The wrap around deck is unbeatable and gets a lot of nice sun. We’ve stayed in this same spot on a different floor in the past, however this unit was superior because of a well stocked kitchen. We were able to do a lot of cooking. Nice knives and pots and pans. Also, there’s a ton of beach gear which we greatly appreciated with our kids. Chairs and toys! We had other family staying at the Hanua Kai at the same time. Everyone had nice, view rooms and paid around the same price. Yet, everyone was a little shocked by how awesome our unit was in comparison. Ours was clearly the best so everyone got together at our place to enjoy the lanai and awesome meals of fresh cooked fish from the Maui fish market. We can’t wait to go back! Perfect vacation :-)

AMAZING!

The pictures were beyond what we imagined! The Nano doors were incredible. We highly recommend this property to anyone who doesn't want to eat out every meal, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner and then enjoy it on the lanai. Just perfect!!!

Unit 441

We loved this unit. The views were spectacular and we loved the set up of the unit. The only issues we came across was the washer/dryer needs some help. Drying clothes was really tough. Also, there should be towel bars in the bathrooms. Also, I am not sure why you only get "starter" things when your there for a week. There should be enough dish soap, toilet paper, etc., to last all week. But all in all, we loved it!

Lovely place to stay

This was our first visit to Maui. We really enjoyed staying at HK #441. The managers were very gracious and quick to respond to any concerns. Booking was very easy. The condo was great for 2 couples. We especially liked the balcony that completely opens up to the living room. Location was great - close to so many attractions.

Decent resort, good on site restaurant

We chose a larger 2 bedroon unit which was spacious and had a wonderful corner lanai. The resort itself was fine. Pools were always crowded and the available chairs were very limited if you weren’t the first ones out in the morning. The grounds were just ok and it seems staff could have tidied up more. If it weren’t for the onsite restaurant, Duke’s, I think there are better options to stay. The beach out front of resort is very rocky and small, so we walked down quite a bit to experience the true Kaanapali beach.

Perfect!

This property is amazing! The condo is beautiful, very well maintained, and has EVERYTHING you need! The pictures are spot on! The view from the wrap around deck is breathtaking and YES, it is an ocean view! I would highly recommend this property (already have!) and will definitely come back. The grounds are so beautiful and there is a "pool" for everyone, we loved hanging out at the "quiet" pool so we could kick back and relax! Barry was great to work with, everything was easy and efficient. Thanks for a great place to enjoy Maui! All the best!
