Very comfortable had everything we needed for an extended stay, less than 15 minutes to all of the events we had scheduled. 20 minutes or less to the Airport it was perfect for our trip will definitely add to our favorites.

This is a perfect getaway from downtown Juneau with trails close by and easy beach access. From the window you can see cruise ships sliding in and out of the channel framed by trees. The owners were helpful and their pdf had great tips on dining. We highly recommend this place.

Warm - inviting - setting is incredible for Dougkas relax. Great design details. Not missing a beat. Hostess anticipates immediate needs. Even provides good suggestions for sightseeing, eating out or picnic goods. In a beautiful forest setting. Views of Mt Robert’s and the Treadwell Mine Trail. A fascinating archeological site even if abandoned a 100 years ago. It’s been reclaimed by nature. Lower deck perfect for evening relax.,A stay I will remember.,

Perfect hideaway on Douglas Island!

The cozy, beautifully decorated property was just as promised online. Well stocked with everything we needed, so warm and inviting... The view was impeccable and the outdoor firepit added a fun option. The owner was extremely thoughtful abd communication was fantastic! I highly recommend this properry for a couple looking to have the prrfect stay in Juneau!

Wonderful place

We had the most wonderful stay, everything was just as described only more beautiful! The carriage house had the most beautiful view! Karin gave great recommendations of places to see and we traveled all the roads. The path down from the house was amazing including walking on the beach during low tide. We have shared with our friends and we plan to come back again soon!

If its available BOOK IT NOW!

It was the best stay I've booked on Vrbo so far. My and my brother stayed for 4 days at Karin's place in Douglas which is 20 minutes away from downtown Juneau. The check-in process was eezy peezy and the place was fully furnished. It made me feel like it was like was at my 2nd home. Karin and her family make you feel right at home. Your living room window view is the mountains and you're 5 minutes from water near Paris Creek. Would return in a heartbeat that's for sure.

I could not believe how Karin had everything and more inside of the studio. Both my mom and I were extremely impressed. We loved the atmosphere, the help from Karin, and the accessibility to the beach. It was so worth being away from Juneau. We can not thank Karin enough for providing such a great VRBO.

We loved our stay so much that we opted to stay there one day in lieu of any expeditions. The beach access and views were stunning. Having a kitchen and w/d made it feel like a home away from home. We were VERY pleased and hope to stay there again!

Perfect place for our honeymoon!

This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay during our honeymoon! Owner was very helpful and friendly! Very clean and just a few minutes from the town of Juneau. Amazing views from the back porch! I would definitely recommend for 2 people looking for a great place to stay!

A True Douglas Island Hideaway!

TL;DR: If this place is available book it. You will not be disappointed. The location, views, amenities and service are top tier. I stayed here with my wife for a week and we were blown away. Location is about as perfect as it gets, it feels remote while also being very accessible to downtown Juneau and the surrounding area. May be a bit tight with more than 2 or 3 guests but for the two of us it was perfect. The suite was very clean, well put together and cozy. It really felt like they put a lot of thought into the little details. We went out to eat mostly but the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and then some. The view is great with good visibility to the channel to see planes and ships passing by but still being very quiet. They have stairs to several excellent walking trails with some wonderful historical buildings to see. We hiked Mt. Jumbo our first day there and the trail head was maybe a five minute walk away. Truly an incredible place to stay in Alaska with excellent hosts. We are already talking about a return trip and this will be the place we stay at again no questions asked.
